Episode 121: Sub-Desert Duel | |
Inside some office or library, Adrian spots Marcel and learns that Marcel has other plans but is still willing to give him what he wants if he follows all of his commands. Up on the rooftop, Banner's cat Pharaoh is snoozing but gets up and heads inside, passing the spot where all the students are gathered as they line up for food. Inside, Chazz is handed a travel size bottle of water and an equally small loaf of bread as Chazz complains that this isn't food but it's all they have. The Ojamas want some too but Alexis tells them they have to share with Chazz and the others behind him are getting impatient. Dorothy orders them to be quiet and reminds them that they have to learn to share or they don't get anything. (We know that won't work because then you won't have students next year.) She tells the Ojamas there's grub in the back and after they decline and move away with Chazz, hopes they understand because they don't even have enough for Pharaoh. (You wouldn't need to give him water, just hot sauce. After all, we know he loves it.) In Ms Fontane's room, Blair's condition isn't any better and Ms Fontane says she's out of medicine, handing Jaden a list (which is either not as long as Jaden says it is or Ms Fontane has small handwriting). Jaden ponders whether or not Crowler will let them and when they enter his office, at first Crowler declines but agrees (without saying so) after Bonaparte runs into the room wanting Marcel and the other students talk him into it. Outside, the gang decide to split up and Adrian wants to come since Jesse saved him from the Harpie Lady. Adrian secretly replays his plan to himself as Marcel's hand becomes a Duel Disk and Marcel plays The Rock Spirit. As the gang move forward, Shirley reacts and they all duck behind a rock just as a Sandstone monster appears, stomps around a bit, then disappears again. They find the submarine and Jaden races for it but ends up sliding down a sand bowl, followed quickly by Axel as he goes to rescue him while Adrian holds onto the rope, listening to Marcel's words to let them go. Jim aids in Adrian's holding of the rope as The Rock Spirit appears and Jesse agrees to duel him. TRS plays Sand Doodlebug (1200) in Attack Mode to end his turn. Jesse plays Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat (1200) in Attack Mode and attacks but SD disappears and AC is then destroyed as Adrian explains that this must be a Field Spell that destroys Level 3 or lower monsters. TRS attacks Jesse directly, leaving him with 2800. Jesse plays Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle (1400) in Attack Mode. Oops! At 11:25 into the US episode, CBCE's ATK in a LP graphic! Jesse attacks with it but a sand wall blocks it so he plays Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus (1800) in Attack Mode. (I can't understand where this came from since there wasn't anything activated by either player, unless 4Kids cut something critical out again but I have to let it go). TRS attacks directly with his monster but Jesse activates G Force to Special Summon Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger (1600) in Attack Mode, whom takes out SD, leaving TRS with 3200. Jesse's remaining attacks win the duel. (It's still TRS' unless he ended it without saying so. *sigh* 4Kids' negligence to properly explain things still reigns supreme here.) Hidden in the shadows, Marcel sees that his Rock Spirit failed him but still has more energy for his ultimate plan. Inside the submarine, the gang decide to split up with Jesse searching for medicine while the rest find food and whatever else. Marcel has returned to his "library" shall I call it and brings out another The Rock Spirit, whom in turn plays Fiend Scorpion (900 x 10+) but Jaden retaliates by playing Elemental Hero Clayman (2000) in Defense Mode so that he and the gang can escape but when they make it out the door, TRS summons 8-Claw Scorpion (300) in Attack Mode and uses Book of Moon to put Clayman face down and take it out with 8CS as Axel explains its effect. The door bursts open and the scorpion army enters. Jesse decides to handle the situation and uses Topaz Tiger and Amethyst Cat to destroy the Fiend Scorpions. However, TRS isn't giving up and brings out his Sand Doodlebug again to cause the submarine to "sink" but Jaden plays Elemental Hero Neos and Neo-Spacian Grand Mole for a quick Contact Fusion for Elemental Hero Grand Neos, which raises the sub out from underneath the sand and throws it on top of TRS. The sub is actually upside down now but the gang manage to escape and Marcel thanks Jaden from inside his "library" adding that the more Jaden fights the more energy he gets. The gang got out of that one but who knows what else is there. |
