Episode 116: Trapper Keeper (2)

At the duel, Trapper retells his story of what he's planning to do with the Crystal Beasts, then Jesse remembers they're his responsibility and flashes back to when he chatted with Pegasus. He tells Trapper the power of the Crystal Beasts won't ever be his but Trapper says they'll see (despite the look on his face after he says it). Trapper sets 1 card to end his turn. Jesse plays Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger (1600) in Attack Mode but Trapper activates Trap Hole, destroying TT since its ATK is at least 1000 so Jesse plays Rare Value to draw twice by sending a Crystal Beast in his Spell and Trap Zone to the Grave. (" ") Next he plays E Force to bring back his Topaz Tiger in Attack Mode. Oops! At 3:44 into the US episode, Topaz Tiger's ATK is in a lifepoint graphic instead of an ATK graphic!

Jesse attacks and TT gains 400 ATK by its effect, putting its ATK at 2000, destroying Infernal Blast Hound and leaving Trapper with 3000 but Trapper uses IBH's effect to bring out another Infernal Blasthound in Attack Mode, activating Jesse's Triggered Summon card, letting him Special Summon a Level 4 or less monster from his hand (The real card applies to both players) so he brings out Crystal Beast Emerald Turtle (Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise in the CG) (600) in Attack Mode and raises its ATK by 500 with M Force, putting its ATK at 1100. Jesse attacks with it, destroying the second Blast Hound and leaving Trapper with 2900 and letting Trapper play another IB in Defense Mode. (M Force is a Quick-Play Spell, hence why Jessie is able to use it during his Battle Phase.)

Jesse switches ET to Defense Mode by its effect. Trapper draws and it's Pot of Avarice, which he sets face down to end his turn, telling Jesse he's got a place for all of his Crystal Beasts. Jesse switches ET to attack Mode and attacks IBH with it, destroying IBH, then he attacks directly with TT, leaving Trapper with 1300. Trapper draws but it's not what he needs so he calls for a desperate measure. Elsewhere, Jim and his crew asses the situation and what they know but what they don't know his how to stop Viper's plan so they race off to help Jaden. Adrian, meanwhile, is finding tighter security, figuring he's getting closer to Viper, so he blocks the lasers with some kind of laser blocking devices.

Back to where Jaden had collapsed, Jaden awakens, and decides to come and help Jesse by walking over. At the duel, Trapper plays Lure Phantom (0000) in Defense Mode to end his turn. Jesse switches his ET to Attack Mode and attacks, destroying Lure Phantom. He proceeds to start his attack with Topaz but Trapper brings up the Jerry Beans Man card and threatens to rip up the card if Jesse attacks so Jesse puts ET back into Defense Mode asking if Trapper thinks he can just take things after winning a duel and that's exactly what Trapper does as he considers dueling like a hunt. He heard the conversation Jesse had with the kid and knew Jesse would be coming after him. Jesse switches ET to Defense Mode and ends his turn.

Trapper activates his face down Pot of Avarice to shuffle 5 monsters back into his deck and draw 2 cards. Next he plays Camouflage Gardna (1900) in Defense Mode. Next he uses Decoy Baby to capture TT in his Spell and Trap Zone. Then he uses Substitute Pain to deal Jesse 400 damage for all monsters Trapper caught, leaving Jesse with 600. Jesse draws as Trapper puts the JBM card in his hands again. Jaden overhears the conversation and finds a ladder to the ceiling of the room Jesse and Trapper are dueling in. After a brief conversation, Trapper decides to instead prevent Jesse from saving either spirit and proceeds to rip up the card. Jaden swings on a rope and knocks Trapper down, saving the card (which I would've thought should've had a bend in it considering we saw Trapper bend the card but whatever).

Jesse draws and it's his Sapphire Pegasus, figuring by playing the card, he'll set the duel spirit free so he plays Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus but the monster doesn't appear until Jesse gives the call so SP appears (1800) in Attack Mode, allowing him to bring Ruby Carbuncle to his Spell and Trap Card Zone. Then Jesse plays Take Flight, freeing all of his Crystal Beasts captured by Trapper. Next he plays GEM Burst, putting the Crystal Beasts in his Spell and Trap Card Zone and dealing Trapper 500 damage for each one, winning the duel. Trapper says Jesse was right about Trapper having a bond but it was taken away and he was promised by Viper that if Trapper helped him, he'd get the spirit he needed. Their Bio Bands activate and Trapper is captured and removed by the duel spirits that he himself captured. Jesse decides the two of them should hunt down Viper but Jaden says to find his friends first. In his lair, Viper says he has all he needs, or so he thinks and decides that one more duel will suffice.
