Episode 69: Dormitory Demolition

Outside, the gang is arguing over the fact that Syrus heard Crowler and Bonaparte saying they're going to tear down the dorm. Crowler and Bonaparte show, arguing over about how they need to act in agreement. Chazz finds the duel lame and walks back in. While Crowler and Bonaparte continue arguing, he decides to paint the dorms white, thinking they'll all join the Society of Light. The duel starts as Bonaparte plays Toy Soldier (0800) in Attack Mode.

Jaden finds the monster cute but everyone else says it's dangerous. He sets 3 cards to end his turn. Crowler activates Graceful Charity. He inspects his new cards. Premature Burial is given the usual redesign for US at around 5:11 into the episode. Then he uses Premature Burial to revive The Trojan Horse he discarded with GC (1600) in Attack Mode. His score drops to 3200. Bonaparte adds that when Crowler loses LPs, pieces of the dorm are removed. Poor Chazz is drenched in white paint. Crowler then tributes his TH for Ancient Gear Golem (3000) in Attack Mode. (They're not telling you that TTH counts as 2 Tributes for the Tribute Summon of an EARTH monster.)

Bonaparte says AGG isn't scaring anyone and activates Toy Cannon, switching AGG to Defense Mode and dealing 400 damage to Crowler, leaving him with 2800. Next he activates Gulliver Chain, destroying AGG if Crowler switches it to Attack Mode. He forgot to mention that if TS is on the field during the change of turns, he can summon two more and does so. Then he uses Forced March, letting his TS attack directly by halving their ATK. Then he uses Fife and Drum Corps, doubling his TS' ATKs to 800 and dropping Crowler's score to 400. Next he activates Unequal Treaty, dealing Crowler 100 damage while giving himself 100 LPs whenever Crowler draws a card. He sets 1 card to end his turn.

Crowler draws, leaving him with 300 and Bonaparte with 4100 with UT. He plays Ancient Gear Castle, giving Ancient monsters 300 ATK. (The real card gives Ancient Gear monsters 300 ATK.) Next he plays Ancient Gear Soldier (1300) in Attack Mode and equips him with Ancient Gear Tank, giving his monster 600 more ATK for a total of 2200. He attacks and Bonaparte tries to activate his Trap Card but remembers that AG monsters prevent the opponent from using Trap Cards when they attack, destroying TS and leaving his own score at 2700. He decides to have the dorm rebuilt every time Bonaparte's score drops so the dorm is restored somewhat. He sets 1 card to end his turn.

Bonaparte uses Crowning of the Emperor, which by tributing a TS lets him summon Toy Emperor (2300) in Attack Mode. He attacks and destroys AGS, leaving Crowler with 200 but Crowler says that when AGT is destroyed, Bonaparte takes 600 damage, leaving him with 2100. Bonaparte adds that when TE battles, he can add a Trap Card from his deck to his hand. He sets it to end his turn, thinking that when Crowler summons a monster, he'll use it on the monster and win. (That is if the monster is over 1000 ATK.) Crowler draws and due to UT, his score drops to 100 while Bonaparte's score rises to 2200. He sends his AGC to the Grave for Ancient Gear Engineer (1500) in Attack Mode, explaining that normally his AGE needs two tributes.

Oops! The card actually shows 5 stars, which means only one tribute, not two! He attacks and destroys TS with AGE. With his effect, he destroys Gulliver Chain. Bonaparte tells Crowler that he made an error for you cannot change the mode of a monster during battle. Crowler says his turn isn't over and activates Zero Gravity changing the modes of all monsters on the field. He attacks and destroys TE, winning the duel. Everyone congratulates Crowler on his victory. Jaden and Syrus say that Crowler likes them. Pharaoh nests on Crowler's foot and Crowler scurries away.
