Episode 45: Amnael's End Game (1)

In some unknown dimension Chazz questions where he is and sees Alexis. Where off Earth is he? At the campsite, Chumley questions what's happening and Jaden says that the light beams were probably from the spirit gates but how were they unlocked? Ojama Yellow will tell them how; it's due to that seventh Shadow Rider. Syrus tells Jaden he should hide right away but Jaden's not going to hide, they're going to find him! When he says "we" he isn't talking about them, is he? You better believe he is as he wants them to be  there when they take him down and save the world. Meanwhile, in what looks to be the man's hideout, the man says that everything has gone according to plan and now only his end game is left and it will be a duel trial unlike anything Jaden's ever seen!

Back outside, a bolt of lightning strikes a tree, causing the tree to fall. The mark of amnael appears and "walks" away as the gang realize it's trying to have them follow it, which they do. Another flash of lightning scares not only the gang but Pharaoh as well as he runs away. Jaden suggests they go get him. They enter the man's "room" and discover a coffin. Jaden asks Chumley to help him open it but Chumley says he's not qualified. Jaden bets he'd be qualified if the coffin were filled with grilled cheese.

To their shock it's Professor Banner. Chumley doesn't buy it, saying that Banner couldn't have mummified that fast. The man says it is the one they know as Banner. OY says he's the one who beat Chazz. Jaden has to beat him to get Chazz back. The man agrees, saying that he has them in his book (and from the location, it looks to be on Io, Jupiter's moon.) and they must be him, whom he refers himself as Amnael.

He then tells Jaden that it's best he forget about whom he knew as Banner and questions Jaden if he wants to duel him and of course Jaden accepts. Amnael starts with Chaos Distill, which removes all cards sent to his Graveyard from play. Next he plays Steel Lamp, allowing him to play Salamandra the Steel (officially Alchemy Beast - Salamandra the Steel) (0500) in Attack Mode since he has CD in play. He plays Bronze Scale and Lead Compass, allowing him to summon Alchemy Beasts Ouroboros the Bronze and Leon the Lead (0500 x2) respectively in Attack Mode. He sets 1 card to end his turn. Jaden plays Elemental Hero Bubbleman (0800) in Attack Mode and with nothing else on his field, Jaden can draw twice. (" ") He then activates Bubble Blaster, raising Bubbleman's ATK by 800 to 1600.

He attacks but Amnael activates Elemental Absorber, which can negate the attack of any monster by removing 1 monster in his hand from play as long as both the attacking monster and the removed monster have the same attributes. He removes Aqua Spirit and Bubbleman's attack is cancelled. Amnael draws and attacks directly with his monsters, leaving Jaden with 2500 LPs. Next he activates Black Process - Negledo, which with CD in play and having no cards in his hand, lets him remove Alchemy Beast monsters he controls from play, to draw 2 cards for each one removed. Then he plays Tin Spell Circle, Mercury Hourglass and Silver Key, each allowing him to summon 1 Alchemy Beast in Attack Mode (Aretos the Tin, Ekenas the Mercury and Moonface the Silver although their names aren't stated.)

Jaden plays Elemental Hero Clayman (0800) in Attack Mode and equips him with Mud Max, raising his ATK by 300 to 1100. He attacks but Amnael uses EA's effect to remove The Rock Spirit from play and negate the attack. Amnael plays White Process - Albedo, letting him summon Golden Homunculus (????) in Attack Mode, whose ATK equals the number of Amnael's cards removed from play x 300 for a total of 3900. (The real card can be Normal Summoned and its original ATK and DEF are 1500.) He attacks but after the smoke clears, Jaden's still standing and laughing. He used Mud Max's effect, allowing it to be destroyed and negate attack as well as allowing him to summon an Elemental Hero monster and he chooses Elemental Hero Avian (1000) in Attack Mode. He plays Elemental Hero Burstinatrix (1200) in Attack Mode and attacks with his monsters but Amnael uses EA to remove Garuda the Wind Spirit and Spirit of Flames from play respectively.

Jaden then plays Burst Return, which gets modified for US as shown at 17:49 into the US episode. It returns all other Elemental Hero monsters he controls to his hand. Then he uses Burst Impact, which destroys all monsters except Burstinatrix on the field and dealing Amnael 300 damage for each one. Amnael's monsters are destroyed and his score drops to 2800 while his mask fractures. Pharaoh shows and Syrus picks him up, thinking Pharaoh wants to cheer Jaden on but he doesn't and scratches Syrus. He runs away and rubs against Amnael's leg. Chumley points out that Pharaoh's never that friendly with strangers. Jaden agrees and Amnael reveals he is Professor Banner while saying that there is more going on than they can possibly imagine.
