Episode 3: A Duel in Love

Inside the classroom, Alexis breaks down the basics of Dueling to the delight of Dr. Crowler but pressure causes Syrus to botch his answer to Crowler's next question, which causes Jaden to stick up for him. As a result, Crowler works to make Jaden pay with a fake love letter to lure him into the Obelisk Blue bathing room for expulsion. Unfortunately, he's got the wrong locker as Jaden's shoes are in Syrus' locker and Syrus becomes convinced he's whom the love letter is for. That night, Syrus heads out to meet what he thinks is his true love but only finds trouble as the girls are not in a forgiving mood and decide to use Syrus as bait for Jaden. When Jaden arrives after hearing the news, he's forced to Duel for the rights to not be expelled. Jaden finds himself struggling against Alexis' Fusion Monster until he brings out a Fusion Monster of his own that takes it and Alexis down. Crowler's not giving up on trying to expel Jaden from Duel Academy but first needs to get back home.
