At the duel, Zigfried reiterates what he said earlier in that Kaiba is losing thousands of files thanks to the virus unlocked in the Golden Castle of Stromberg now on the field. Kaiba heads off to eliminate the source of the virus with Mokuba and his Suit following shortly thereafter. Yami draws and DMG is forced attack and destroy itself, dealing Yami half its ATK, bringing his score down by 500 to 1700. As a result, Cinderella gets Glass Slippers, raising her ATK by 1000 to 1300. In the control room, Protocol 514 is being put into effect while Mokuba proceeds with E level security and ensure that every firewall is always up. Yami gives Leon a few words of encouragement and sets 1 card to end his turn. Leon draws and Zigfried adds that GCoS has a maintenance cost to stay on the field and Yami must pay it, losing half his deck's cards. Leon takes his turn by playing Forest Wolf (1800) in Attack Mode and his monsters are forced to attack so Yami takes the 1300 damage from Cinderella, bringing his score down to 400. Forest Wolf's attack is blocked as Yami activates Dark Magic Retribution to bring back Dark Magician Girl in Attack Mode for the battle, destroying FW and bringing Leon down to 1900 LPs.

Yami draws and Queen's Knight returns to Yami's field since 3 turns have passed from Spinning Wheel Spindle being activated. Next, he sets 2 cards and activates Card of Sanctity to have both players draw cards until their hands hold six cards. Next he summons King's Knight (1600) in Attack Mode, then Jack's Knight (1900) in Attack Mode by KK's effect. After that he plays Royal Straight to send his knights to the Graveyard for Royal Straight Slasher (2400) in Attack Mode. With that done, he uses RSS' effect to send 5 Monster Cards to the Graveyard, each with a different Level from 1-5 to destroy all of Leon's cards on the field. However, GCoS remains on the field as Rebecca concludes that the card is also immune to Effect Monster effects. Yami then plays Time Travel to remove from play his RSS until the start of Leon's turn despite the fact that leaving it out would've won him the duel.

Leon draws and now Yami must discard half the cards in his deck to the Grave by GCoS' effect but there's a hitch as Yami has only one card left in his deck and is therefore unable to send half of it to the Grave. As a result, GCoS is destroyed and the virus stops. However, Zigfried remains confident as Yami has only 1 card left in his Deck and when he can't draw he loses. Leon sees only one way out and announces his decision to quit but is convinced to continue and draws, giving Yami his RSS back by TT's effect before playing Monster Reborn on Cinderella, thus bringing back Pumpkin Carriage. Next he tributes both monsters for Hexe Trude (2600) in Attack Mode. His attack with her destroys RSS and leaves Yami down to 200 LPs. Yami draws and sets 1 card before activating Emergency Provisions and sending 1 face down card he has to the Grave and regaining 1000 LPs, putting his score up to 1200. Next he uses his Monster Reborn on his Dark Magician (2500) in Attack Mode (which was sent to the Grave by GCoS' effect). Then he activates one of his face-down cards, Necromancy to Special Summon Little Red Riding Hood, Iron Hans, Iron Knight, and Forest Hunter in Defense Mode and will weaken HT by 600 ATK for each of these monsters destroyed. Finally he activates Diffusion Wave-Motion to pay 1000 Life Points and let DM attack all of Leon's monsters at once, leaving his score down to 200. His attacks destroy all four monsters Special Summoned with Necromancy, leaving HT with 600 ATK. Finally, DM destroys HT and wins Yami the duel.

Leon is at a loss for words and cries in Yami's arms so Zigfried tells him good news that it'll take Kaiba's company years to replace what it lost except that Kaiba's files have already been restored, leaving Zigfried to fall to his knees convinced that he's ruined. Leon's words convince Zigfried to hug back and after Yami is declared the still champion, he and his group head to the airport where they eventually board the plane ride home.
