Episode 190: Down in Flames (1) | |
Still watching the competition, Joey is ready for his next duel but Yugi suggests using the time to strategize and Tristan notes that Joey will face off against Zigfried, the guy that beat Rex and Weevil in one move yet Joey dishes out some ridicule against his opponent instead. Tristan tries unsuccessfully to calm Joey down and the two get in a bit of a shoving match that not even Tea` can break them out off and is simply pushed aside, encountering Leon, whom is nervous about his next match but Joey says to take it one duel at a time before Mokuba comes in to return the duelists back out for their next duel. Joey wishes Zigfried luck but Zigfried doesn't rely on luck and Joey gets angry, blocking his path and shouting but Zigfried advises listening to Yugi instead. Joey remains angry and Zigfried walks away, having wasted enough time on Joey already while Tristan restrains Joey. Rebecca heads off to her match, knowing that there will be more chances for Yugi to root for her but Mokuba needs to speak to Yugi right away and informs of needing Yugi's help to look for any suspicious activity. All Yugi wants is to duel in a tournament without fighting evil (then the show wouldn't be very exciting now would it?) and Vivian Wong watches from behind a wall. Everyone arrives at their duel sites and Joey remains unhappy to see Zigfried as the duo shuffle their opponent's decks. Considering Joey at a disadvantage, Zigfried lets Joey go first and he does but his hand is pitiful so he sets 1 card to end his turn. Zigfried draws and activates Graceful Charity to draw 3 cards and discard 2. Next he sets 1 card to end his turn. Joey bursts out laughing as Zigfried causes havoc throughout Kaiba Land. Kaiba sees it and discovers a virus, wondering whom could've done it and remembers an event from the past where similar haywire occurred when Kaiba met Zigfried as a child. Back at Joey's duel, Joey summons Brigadier of Landstar (900) in Attack Mode and equips it with Landstar Shot, raising its ATK by 600 to 1500. His attack is stopped as Zigfried activates Wotan's Judgment, negating the attack and switching the top card of his deck with a Spell Card in his hand and reshuffling. Zigfried draws and activates Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards, then play Erda's Guidance to send 1 card in his hand to the Graveyard to return 1 Trap Card to the field. Joey draws, bringing Zigfried back to the duel by tributing BoL for Jinzo (2400) in Attack Mode. Jinzo's effect destroys Zigfried's face-down WJ before Joey attacks directly to leave Zigfried down to 1600 LPs. Zigfried draws and activates the card that beat Rex and Weevil, Ride of the Valkyeries and Joey's end is just the beginning! |
