Episode 186: Unwanted Guest (2)

Luke remains uncertain but Yami is more worried about the person behind all this. Tea` and Leon assure the kids on the ground that Yami will be fine. All Yami can do, even after his draw is play Petit Dragon (700) in Defense Mode as he's still contending with Rick's deck. Meanwhile, Kaiba receives word of the incident and our German friend is requesting fresh mint in the pool up on his return and will be taking the lavender jet for departure. Back at the duel Dueltech uses Cost Down to lower the Level of all monsters in his hand by 2 stars (and discard 1 card, which we'll find out later is Sinister Serpent). Therefore, he can now play the Level 5 Airknight Parshath (1900) in Attack Mode without tributes as it's a Level 3 monster this turn. Next it activates Robbin' Goblin, forcing Yami to discard 1 card each time a monster deals him battle damage (more specifically Dueltech's monsters). It attacks with AP and due to AP's effect, it has the Fairy Meteor Crush effect, dealing the extra damage to Yami, leaving his score down to 2800 LPs and since AP dealt Yami battle damage, Dueltech draws 1 card and Yami has to discard 1 card in his hand by RG's effect. Furthermore, it attacks Yami directly with Berserk Gorilla, leaving Yami down to 800 LPs and forcing Yami to get rid of another card from his hand by RG's effect.

Luke complains that it's his deck that is making Yami lose but Yami adds it has heart and nothing is more powerful. Yami draws and sees Rick's deck did have a Spell Card in it and plays Luster Dragon (1900) in Attack Mode. Next he uses Dragon Treasure to raise the ATK and DEF of all Dragon-Type monsters on the field by 300, raising LD's ATK to 2200 and its DEF to 1900. (It actually gives the equipped monster 300 ATK and DEF.)

Dueltech draws and gets Sinister Serpent from his Graveyard to his hand by its effect (and we can see new card s in his hand at 7:09 into the US episode). Its first move brings out Slate Warrior (1900) in Attack Mode and while Joey remains confused, Rebecca isn't so sure it's a glitch as Dueltech attacks LD with SW, destroying SW and bringing its score down to 3400 (though we can see it having over 4000 LPs first as shown at 7:37 into the US episode) but lowering LD's ATK and DEF by 500 by SW's effect, bringing its ATK down to 1700 and its DEF down to 1400. Next, it orders BG to destroy LD, leaving Yami down to 500 LPs.

Yami draws and plays Cave-Dwelling Dragon (The Dragon Dwelling in the Cave in the CG) (2000) in Defense Mode. The Dueltech draws and tributes BG for Jinzo (2400) in Attack Mode and with Jinzo's effect, Dueltech loses its own Robbin' Goblin. (The real card just negates all face up Trap Cards and prevents any more from being activated.). Its attack destroys CDD for the conclusion of its turn. Yami draws the card he gave Rick and plays Baby Dragon (700) in Defense Mode, then activates Heart of the Underdog, which no one around them knows how it works but snicker that Joey should know how it works. Dueltech draws and plays Sinister Serpent (300) in Attack Mode (which is really stupid for a computer duelist set to the highest Level as he had Battle Warrior, which had 700 ATK, enough to win the duel but it could be a different card in the Japanese) and attacks to leave Yami defenseless and down to 200 LPs. Yami draws and initiates the effect of HotU and draws six dragons before drawing and playing Spirit Ryu (1000) in Attack Mode and attacking Jinzo, discarding all his other Dragons to the Grave and giving SR 1000 ATK for each, raising its ATK to 7000, destroying Jinzo and winning the duel and freeing everyone.

Yami hands Rick his deck back, saying it was the passion for the cards that won (yeah, that's it).

Now outside, Rick runs to tell his mom the day's story while Joey wants to know what the Heart of the Underdog card reminds him off but Yami doesn't have an answer and switches to Yugi, whom puts the explanation the best he can. A helicopter arrives and Kaiba steps out and learns everything is fine but Joey isn't so pleased to see him. Kaiba assures that the person responsible is the whacko and will be punished. He orders for triple the security for tournament registration that evening. During that point, Mokuba and crew enter by elevator and learn that many newspaper and TV news people are here to make the event as big a deal as possible. Feet away, Rebecca is pushed out of the way by a guest, whom throws an insult but Rebecca isn't backing down but their conversation is cut short when the guest sees Yugi Muto and addresses her name as Vivian Wong, holding Yugi's hands to Rebecca's disgust. Vivian lets go when she sees Kaiba (and will be disappointed when Kaiba isn't interested in her).

Our German friend greets Kaiba, apologizing for the delayed arrival and introduces himself as Zigfried. With that, Roland announces the participants of the KC Grand Championship and Yugi, now Yami are surprised to learn how good Leon is. They're the best of the best but only one of them can be the KC Grand Champion!
