As some duels rage on, not everyone is in a cheery mood as a motorist pulls up, complaining about getting to work. A policeman explains to him about the Battle City tournament but the driver is not buying it yet an Electric Lizard seems to change his mind. On board his chopper, Kaiba asks Yami about Marik but  refuses to believe anything about Millennium Items, even passing off Pegasus' use of his Millennium Eye before him at Duelist Kingdom.

Yami reminds Kaiba of when Marik showed his plan after losing the duel but Mokuba remains the only Kaiba on board to believe it. Yami then remembers his conversation with Joey after taking down Rare Hunter. With just two miles left, they have to get Yami's friends away from Marik before it's too late! It wouldn't surprise Yami if Joey qualified for the Battle City Finals (and we know he has from his phone call with Serenity), recalling Joey's three past duels (despite not being there for two of them so this is most likely not from his memory). With the hideout just up ahead, Kaiba orders the pilot to descend. Yami isn't leaving without his friends so Marik won't get away with it!
