Episode 123: Eyes on the Prize
While Bruno and Crow maintain their Duel Runners, the others know that Team Ragnarok is their next opponent and Akiza adds that they're said to be the most skilled duel team in the world. Their plan is to win or they can't face Illyaster in the finals. Meanwhile, Team Ragnarok watches from above with fear as they know something big is coming. A giant upside down castle of sorts has come into view. Yusei, Jack and Crow arrive to see the same object in the sky but can't make sense of it and learn of what it means from Team Ragnarok, whom also share a bit about their own marks in their eyes. Haldor's eye has shown him the future and believes the object above connects with Team New World and it is also their goal to stop them before it's too late.
Furthermore, Haldor explains the tale of the Nordic Gods, whose cards now exist as well as some of the team's past. Team Ragnarok will use the Nordic God Cards to face Team New World and the cards refuse to allow Yusei and his group in, considering them unworthy. Jack says to forget about them but Dragen reminds him of the duel they had and how he lost heart. Dragen was forced to throw the match because it made Goodwin money not because of Jack's skills. Dragen reminds Jack of the duel where Jack drew and played Top Runner (1100) in Attack Mode before setting 2 cards to end his turn. Dragen then drew, unable to play any of his duel-winning moves and summoned Garmr of the Nordic Beasts (800) in Attack Mode before setting 2 cards.

Jack then drew and played Power Breaker (1900) in Attack Mode and used his monsters as Synchro Material for Red Dragon Archfiend (3000) in Attack Mode. He then attacked and Dragen eventually lost the match but Jack protests that Dragen made up the story to make himself feel better but both agree to have the duel the next day for the rights to take on Team New World.
