Episode 92: Clash at Crash Town (2) | |||
At the duel, Yusei draws and discard 1 monster (Quillbolt Hedgehog) to Special
Summon Quickdraw Synchron (700) in Attack Mode by
its effect. Next, since Yusei has a Tuner, he Special Summons
Quilbolt Hedgehog (800) in Attack Mode by its
effect. Then he uses his monsters as Synchro Material (and treats QS as Nitro
Synchron but they don't tell you that) for Nitro Warrior
(2800) in Attack Mode. His attack with it takes out Gatling Ogre and triggers
NW's effect, allowing it to switch one of Lawton's Defense Position monsters to
Attack Mode and attack it. With that, Yusei changes an Ambush Token to Attack
Mode and takes it out to leave Lawton down to 1300 LPs. His attack with Justice
Bringer takes out another token before Yusei sets 2 cards to end his turn. They've made Lawton mad and he uses Card of Burial Magic to remove from play 3 Spell Cards (Tri-Blaze Accelerator, Reload and Pot of Avarice) in his Graveyard to draw twice. Next he tributes the 2 remaining Ambush Tokens for Blaster Ogre (3000) in Defense Mode. Next he uses BO's effect to destroy Kalin's Infernity Archfiend and deal half its ATK to Kalin, leaving IZ to gain another Doom Counter. However, BO's effect can be used twice per turn and Lawton uses it again to finish Kalin off but Yusei counters with Skill Twist to make his own Nitro Warrior the target, destroying it and leaving Yusei down by 1400 to 2600. Lawton is convinced that Yusei will lose next turn and sets 1 card to end his turn. Kalin draws and uses Blaster Cartridge to send the top 4 cards of his Deck to the Graveyard (one of them being Infernity Doom Slinger), then place it back on top of his Deck. When it's drawn, it gets sent to the Graveyard. Lawton knows that IDS is a risky card and needs to get Kalin to play its effect as he knows what's on top of Kalin's Deck. Kalin and Yusei know they have to destroy the Blaster Ogre and Kalin plays Infernity Randomizer (900) in Attack Mode (though at this point in the Japanese version, IR has 700 ATK by mistake) and uses his monsters as Synchro Material for Infernity Doom Dragon (3000) in Attack Mode. Lawton protests that his monster has more ATK (which is anything but true because not only does it have 0 ATK but not even its DEF is higher) but with no cards in his hand, Kalin can use IDD's effect to destroy 1 monster on the field and deal damage to Lawton equal to its ATK. Upon doing so, Lawton activates Metal Coat to prevent BO's destruction by card effects. Since IDD can't attack the turn its effect is used, Kalin ends his turn. As Lawton gloats, Yusei draws and plays Bri Synchron (1500) in Attack Mode. Since Bri Synchron is also a Tuner (which they don't tell you), he uses his monsters as Synchro Material for Stardust Dragon (2500) in Attack Mode. Furthermore, since Bri Synchron was Synchro Material, SD gains 600 ATK to 3100 but loses its effects this turn. His attack prompts Lawton to use MC's other effect to send itself to the Grave and prevent BO's destruction in battle. In response, Yusei activates Synchro Blast to deal Lawton 500 damage since a Synchro Monster attacked, leaving Lawton down to 800 LPs. They weren't able to destroy Lawton's Blaster Ogre this turn but Barbara stops the duel as Lawton could lose. Kalin is about to give in to save Nico and West but the kids convince Kalin and others to resume the duel. Nevertheless, Lawton shocks two of the people protesting against him before Crow knocks the gun out of his hand with a Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind card. As Barbara carts the kids away, Jack knocks her to the ground and frees the kids. He only lays a hand a woman if the woman lays her hand on a child. As a bonus, Jack called in reinforcements and they start apprehending the inhabitants. Lawton detonates more explosives before scurrying away but Kalin takes Yusei's Duel Runner and catches up, knocking Lawton to the ground. Although Kalin is eager to finish the duel, he doesn't feel Lawton is worthy as a duelist and decides to have him go down as a coward. The next day, Barbara and Lawton are taken away as the others rebuild the town. Elsewhere, Kalin breaks the news that he's staying to bring the town to its finest hour and keep the kids safe while their father recovers. Jack and Crow feel jealous about not getting something for their efforts before the trio head off. Both Kalin and Crash Town have entered the light and banished the darkness. |
