Episode 7: The Facility (2) | |||
At the site of the duel, Yanagi feels there's something special about Yusei and suspects that he maybe what he thinks he is, given what happened last night. Bolt begins with Jirai Gumo (2200) in Attack Mode, leaving Yanagi quivering in fear, before setting 2 cards face down. Yusei inspects his hand, determined to show Yanagi what his deck can do in the right hands. A guard watches from surveillance and calls Goodwin, whom is on a walk with Jack and says to keep an eye on the duel and report anything unusual. They walk inside as Goodwin tells Jack that he's important not because of being a good duelist but being a good duelist because he's important. They arrive at Jack's destiny, the origination of the Crimson Dragon, relocated from Peru and Jack's arm contains the right wing of the Crimson Dragon. Back at the duel, Yusei draws and despite Yanagi's warning, plays Crystal Skull (0000) in Defense Mode but uses Curse Reflection Doll to make Bolt Tanner take the damage instead, bringing his score down to 3000 and leaving his own untouched. Tanner knows it wasn't luck, Yusei may actually know what he's doing. Tanner draws and tributes JG for Ushi Oni (2150) in Attack Mode (and it's not just for what he's about to do next, Yanagi, it's also the fact that JG is a risky card to attack with). Next he tributes UO for Giant Ushi Oni (2600) in Attack Mode and takes out Yusei's CS in its first attack, then leaves Yusei down to 1400 LPs with its second attack by its effect. Back at the Crimson Dragon's origin, Goodwin adds that he's the 360th guardian of the Star and was sworn to take the Oath of Yilliaster, the power that flows through everything. Yusei draws and plays Ashoka Pillar (2200) in Defense Mode (and even though they mention how it works despite being explained in the previous episode, it's helpful if you somehow missed the episode or need a refresher). Next he uses Stonehenge to Special Summon Crystal Skull from his Graveyard, bringing his score down to 400 by CS' effect. Only Tanner and Yusei realize how good a move it was for Tanner would be able to attack directly next turn by his monster's effect but Yusei would lose once AP is destroyed. Yusei sets 1 card to end his turn. Goodwin shows Jack a journey through time where Jack sees the marks of the Crimson Dragon on the ground. Tanner draws and attacks but Yusei activates Totem Pole, letting Yusei stop up to 3 of Tanner's attacks and negates the one that prompted the card's activation. However, Tanner responds with Spiderweb Castle, leaving Yusei's monsters with half their ATK if they attack and Tanner can send SWC to the Graveyard to attack directly with one of his monsters. He sets 1 card to end his turn, all ready for Yusei's move and recalls how similar his dueling experience here was to a duel in his past where he lost to Jack Atlas but nevertheless, he likes Yusei as Yusei reminds him of himself. Yusei draws and uses Piri Reis Map to pick up a monster with 0 ATK from his deck and add it to his hand but if played, his LPs are halved. He adds and plays Cabrera Stone (0000) in Attack Mode, bringing his score down to 200. It was part of Yusei's plan to win as he activates Triangle O, destroying all cards on the field since he himself has Cabrera Stone, Crystal Skull and Ashoka Pillar on his field together and Tanner takes all damage Yusei would've taken from the effects of his monsters, causing Tanner to lose the rest of his LPs. Nevertheless, Tanner's friends don't care that Yusei won and attempt to steal Yanagi's deck but Tanner stops them and wants to get Yusei to the pros. Prison guards approach, wanting to see #88 right away (probably Yusei Fudo given they move to his face). Jack learns the scope of the situation and now he must save the world! |
