Episode 217: The Dark One Cometh (3)

While Zorc's reign continues, Bakura adds to Yugi's problems with plenty of defenses. Yugi meanwhile steps up his own game with his monster that has been leveling up each turn. Bakura makes things worse for Yugi using a Trap Card, then a Spell Card that will cost Yugi cards from the top of his Deck each turn. As a result, Yugi gets down to 1 card in his Deck but has plenty of LP to survive battle damage.

Deviations from the TCG

1. Players started with only 4000 LP.
2. A player could Duel without having an actual Graveyard.
3. Silent Swordsman LV5 had 3500 ATK and appeared by leveling up Silent Swordsman.
4. Silent Magician LV4 was called "Silent Magician" in the Dub.
5. Silent Swordsman LV7 had 4500 ATK and appeared by leveling up Silent Swordsman.

Errors

1. In the Dub, Bakura says Yugi has never done anything without Yami's help but he faced multiple challenges prior to this point without Yami.

2. In the Dub, Yugi figures he'll win once Bakura's monsters are gone but all of Bakura's monsters are in Defense Mode and Yugi's monsters do not have an effect to inflict piercing damage.
