Episode 174: Grappling with a Guardian (1)

The group arrive to see Joey motionless and can only conclude that he'd been defeated in a Duel. Yami has had enough and races off, only to find Mai and eventually Raphael on the roof instead of Dartz. Yami finds Raphael starting off similarly to their first Duel but has a few twists in mind by using cards he'd used in his first Duel involving the Field Spell. Raphael also has new surprises, notably monsters Yami has never seen before but after Yami brings out his 5 Kuribohs, Raphael does the unexpected, he plays the Field Spell he'd originally been baiting Yami to use before.

Deviations from the TCG
1. Players started with only 4000 LP.
2. The Seal of Orichalcos had different artwork, doubled the number of monsters its owner could control at a time and prevented either player from leaving the Duel until it was over.

3. Butterfly Dagger - Elma was called "Butterfly Dagger" in the Dub.
Errors
1. Players started with only 4000 LP.
2. Guardian Grarl and Backup Gardna's effects had little-to-no explanation in the Dub.
3. The Dub called Backup Gardna "Backup Guardian".
4. The dub stated that Guardian Shield cost the owner 500 LP to prevent their monster's destruction in battle when it was actually Raphael taking Battle Damage and using Guardian Shield's to destroy itself and save his monster.
