Episode 146: A New Evil (2)

Yami needs a way out of his situation and manages to draw a Spell Card that gives him more options. Next he strengthens his defenses, then works to take down Obelisk with 3 weaker monsters. Gurimo also play a Spell Card to draw extra cards but Yami has a card to play that benefits from this. Gurmo then strengthens his side of the field but Yami counters with a Trap Card to revive his trusted Spellcaster from the Graveyard. Even so, Gurimo adds even more defenses as does Yami but Yami also tries to take down The Seal of Orichalcos and fails. Gurmo makes his Warrior even stronger before Yami pulls off a powerful combo with his magician's apprentice to win the Duel. Unfortunately, Obelisk is not returned and now Yami has to beat all them all. After reuniting with Rebecca, the group head to Domino Museum for further information.

Deviations from the TCG
1. Players started with only 4000 LP.
2. The Seal of Orichalcos doubled the number of monsters its own er could control at a time and prevented either player from leaving the Duel until it was over. It also prevented the owner's monsters in the back row from being attacked while the front row had monsters and couldn't be destroyed by card effects.

3. Watapon's effect allowed it to be Special Summoned when drawn from the Deck.
4. The A. Forces was called "Allied Forces" in the Dub.
5. Card of Sanctity had different artwork and forced both players to draw cards until they had 6 cards in their hands.
Errors
1. While applying the effect of Brave Attack, Yami says he needs a monster with 1500 ATK to beat Obelisk when the combined ATKs of Bet and Alpha were 3100 so he needed over 1400 ATK to be successful against Obelis. An ATK of 1401+ could've done the trick.

2. The Dub neglects to explain where Dark Magician Girl's extra 500 ATK came from and how it was able to be used with Diffusion Wave-Motion.
