Episode 93: A Duel with Destiny (1)

With Mai unable to do anything for the forseeable future, Serenity agrees to watch over Mai while the others watch the next Duel. Kaiba is first to arrive and is left waiting in anticipation for the mystery eighth Duelist, whom eventually arrives with the notion that she's forseen his defeat. It's Ishizu Ishtar but Kaiba accepts nothing about the Duel other than his upcoming victory over her. Even so, Joey learns for the first time what Ishizu's skills are all about. Kaiba on the other hand, continues to deny that Ishizu has any special powers and unleashes his powerful card combo that cripples Ishizu's Deck. Ishizu finds herself with little to do but try to defend herself. Kaiba gets Ishizu down to nearly half her LP but Ishizu has drawn the card that will lead to her victory, just as her Millennium Necklace had shown her.

Deviations from the TCG

1. Players started with only 4000 LP.
2. Crush Card Virus was called "Crush Card" in the Dub and destroyed all monsters on the field and in the opponent's hand and Deck with 1500+ ATK points.

3. Dragged Down into the Grave had different artwork and was called "Michizure of Doom" in the Dub.
4. Cestus of Dagla was called "Sword of Dogra" in the Dub.
5. Des Feral Imp was called "Dark Gremlin" in the Dub and was a Normal Monster with different artwork.
6. Virus Cannon was a Spell Card in the Japanese version.

Errors

1. Kaiba says he plays Des Feral Imp in Defense Mode but there's no card underneath the monster, nor any indication of this with the monster's position, or any declaration that he switched the monterto Attack Mode later.

2. In the Dub, when Kaiba draws Virus Cannon, he calls it a Spell Card when it's shown as a Trap Card.
