Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 1)
*Card effects below are as accurate as
possible. *Negative Energy Generator was later named "Negative Energy" and had a different effect. *Living Arrow's effect changed later in the series to redirect Spell Card effects to the opponent's monster. |
|
Episode 61: The Master of Magicians (2)
Nightmare's Chains Anime Normal Trap Remove from play 1 face up monster your opponent controls. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 3 |
Comments: | A bit slower than Beckon to the Dark but sometimes that's better because this card can get rid of monsters Beckon to the Dark cannot! |
Beckon to the Dark Anime Normal Spell Destroy 1 monster on the field. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 4 |
Comments: | It gets rid of any threatening monster on the field or you can use destroy one of your own to activate that monster's effect! |
Episode 42: The Ties of Friendship
Judgment Blaster Anime Normal Spell Discard 5 cards. Destroy all monsters your opponent controls. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | A one-sided Final Destiny but it also not only destroys only half the opponent's field but still has the same cost as Final Destiny, making Final Destiny the somewhat better card. |
Episode 37: Match of the Millennium - Yugi vs Pegasus (3)
Magical Neutralizing Force Anime Normal Spell Destroy all face up Spell Cards your opponent controls. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It can get rid of some threats but not all as it only destroys face-up Spell Cards your opponent controls. |
Episode 36: Match of the Millennium - Yugi vs Pegasus (2)
Trap Displacement Anime Normal Trap Activate only when a monster you control is equipped with a Trap Card your opponent controls. Change the target to a monster your opponent controls. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It can be a Trap Card that is literally the difference between which monster is beaten but it only works against Trap Cards that target. |
Episode 35: Match of the Millennium - Yugi vs Pegasus (1)
Tears of a Mermaid Anime Normal Trap Activate only when an opponent's monster attacks. Negate the attack and destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It saves your monster from an attack and gets rid of another threat but that may not be enough and Negate Attack is better since it ends the Battle Phase. |
Episode 32: Keith's Machinations (2)
The Pillager Anime Normal Spell Look at your opponent's hand. Take 1 card from it and add it to your hand. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | A cost-free variant of Delinquent Duo but it's just as risky unless you're aware of what's in your opponent's hand. |
Episode 31: Keith's Machinations (1)
Chasm of Spikes Anime Normal Trap Activate only when your opponent declares an attack. Destroy the attacking monster and inflict damage to your opponent equal to 1/4 of the destroyed monster's ATK. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It's a bit better than Sakuretsu Armor as it deals a small amount of damage but that small amount isn't enough to rate it higher than 2 out of 5. |
Episode 24: Face-Off (3)
Living Arrow* Anime Normal Spell When you activate this card, along with "Polymerization", you can use your opponent's monsters as Fusion Material. If a Zombie-Type monster you control is used as Fusion Material, the Fusion Monster loses ATK equal to the Zombie-Type monster's ATK during each of your End Phases. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It works specifically with Polymerization to use your opponent's monsters as Fusion Materials, which can help, especially if you choose a Zombie-Type monster but Super Polymerization far outclasses this card. |
Episode 21: Double Trouble Duel (2)
Monster Replace Anime Normal Spell Select 2 face-up monsters on the field. Switch places with those monsters. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Creature Swap already has this effect but this is a bit better as you choose the monsters on each side of the field. |
Episode 18: Arena of Lost Souls (2)
Glass Man EARTH / Warrior / Level 4 / ATK 1100 / DEF 1000 His artistic skills have allowed him to make stunning sculptures with glass. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Monsters already released are as bad as this if not worse. |
Episode 16: Scars of Defeat
Flying Elephant WIND / Beast / Level 4 / ATK 1850 / DEF 1300 A rare elephant with the gift of flying. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 3 |
Comments: | Of course it's believed that a rule helped it defeat Bandit Keith in this episode but even without the rule, it's a worthy Level 4 vanilla monster! |
Episode 12: Trial by Red-Eyes
Dragon Nails Anime Equip Spell Equip only to a Dragon-Type monster. It gains 600 ATK. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Even during its time on TV, this card would've had little use as a real card since we had to Tribute Summon monsters and while most dragons were strong, the low level ones were generally weak and didn't stick around long so unless you were lucky and got Monster Reborn or Call of the Haunted, which were both at the 2nd highest rarity of the time, you were basically out of luck. |
Episode 9: Duel with a Ghoul
Defense Paralysis Anime Continuous Trap Activate only when an opponent's monster is changed to Defense Position. Change all monsters your opponent controls to Attack Position. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | This card already exists as Final Attack Orders but back before that card, this'd be better than the card released from it, Stop Defense. |
Episode 7: Attack from the Deep
Full Moon Anime Equip Spell Equip only to a Beast-Type monster. It gains 300 ATK and DEF. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | It's taking a page from the LOB sets or perhaps vice-versa but either way, it's no good. |
Episode 5: The Ultimate Great Moth
Parasite Worm Normal Trap Activate only when an opponent's monster declares an attack. Destroy the attacking monster and inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's ATK. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 3 |
Comments: | Better than Sakuretsu Armor as it also hurts your opponent! |
Episode 4: Into the Hornet's Nest
Level 2 Power Boost Anime Equip Spell Equip only to an Insect-Type monster. It gains 1200 ATK and 200 DEF. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | A nice boost to Insect-Type monsters but most of them aren't any good. |
Episode 2: The Gauntlet is Thrown
Eye of Illusion Equip Spell Equip only to" Illusionist Faceless Mage". If it is selected as an attack target, gain control of the attacking monster without applying damage calculation. You can make your opponent's attack targets be 1 of the monsters you gained control of with this effect instead. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Illusionist Faceless Mage is a horrible card but this card does help make up for that. |
Sun Shower Anime Normal Trap Destroy all Zombie-Type monsters that are Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Though Zombie-Type monsters are pretty powerful, you won't likely see them or will only see them once in a a while unless the opponent's Deck is all Zombie-Type monsters and even then, you can get around that with Archfiend Zombie Skull. |
Episode 1: Heart of the Cards
Negative Energy Generator** Anime Normal Spell Select 1 face-up DARK monster you control. Triple its original ATK. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 3 |
Comments: | It only works on 1 in 6 Attributes but is a perfect addition to a Deck with just that Attribute! |
