Legacy of the Valiant (Page 4)

LVAL-EN079
Oath of Companionship
Normal Trap
If you control no monsters that were Special Summoned from the Extra Deck: Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck; take control of it until the End Phase. You cannot Special Summon during the turn you activate this card.
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: Most monsters these days are Special Summoned from the Extra Deck and you get to take one of them for free but only for that turn and you don't get to Special Summon that turn.
LVAL-EN078
Skill Prisoner
Normal Trap
Target 1 card you control; this turn, when any monster effect resolves that targeted that card at activation, negate that effect. During either player's turn, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 card you control; this turn, when any monster effect resolves that targeted that card at activation, negate that effect.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: It can save one of your cards from destruction or other harm but it's only against monster effects but at least the second effect can be used during either player's turn.
LVAL-EN077
The Monarchs Awaken
Normal Trap
If you have no cards in your Extra Deck: Target 1 face-up Tribute Summoned monster you control; its effects are negated, also it is unaffected by the effects of cards other than this card.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Your high-level monster loses its effects but then is not harmed by anything else except battle, which isn't bad but the monster must've been Tribute Summoned first and your Extra Deck must be empty.
LVAL-EN076
Imperial Tombs of Necrovalley
Counter Trap
When a Spell Card, Trap Card, or monster effect is activated, while both a "Gravekeeper's" monster and "Necrovalley" are on the field: Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. You can only activate 1 "Imperial Tombs of Necrovalley" per turn.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: In exchange for needing a Gravekeeper's monster and Necrovalley on the field, you stop whatever card effect is being activated and destroy that card but you can only activate 1  per turn and even if you could play more than one, it's restricted to Gravekeeper's Decks.
LVAL-EN075
Bujin Regalia - The Jewel
Normal Trap
Target 1 Rank 4 Xyz Monster you control; equip this card to that target. It gains 300 ATK for each Xyz Material attached to it. Once per turn, while this card is equipped to a monster by this effect: You can attach 1 "Bujin" monster from your hand to the equipped monster as an Xyz Material.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It'll make your Rank 4 Xyz Monster stronger but to go beyond that, you'll need Bujin monsters and it's restricted to Rank 4 Xyz Monsters.
LVAL-EN074
Ghostrick-Go-Round
Continuous Trap
Once per turn, during the Battle Phase: You can activate 1 of these effects.
● Target 1 "Ghostrick" monster you control; change that target to face-down Defense Position, and if you do, change 1 face-down Defense Position monster your opponent controls to face-up Attack Position.
● Target 1 face-down Defense Position monster you control; change that target to face-up Attack Position, and if is a "Ghostrick" monster, change 1 face-up monster your opponent controls to face-down Defense Position.
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: It's mostly for Ghostricks to reset themselves and reveal any hidden threat your opponent has but that can be good and bad in both cases.
LVAL-EN073
Sylvan Blessing
Normal Trap
Place 1 card from your hand on either the top or bottom of the Deck, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Sylvan" monster from your hand or Graveyard. It is unaffected by other card effects this turn. Place it on either the top or bottom of the Deck during the End Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Running this in a Sylvan Deck isn't all that bad as this card doesn't ask for much to bring out the Sylvan monster or be specific about the Sylvan monster that you can bring out but if you don't do something with it, it goes back to your Deck during the End Phase.
LVAL-EN072
Purge Ray
Normal Trap
Tribute 1 Xyz Monster; during the End Phase, Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Number" monster with the same Type, but 1 Rank lower, as the Tributed monster had when it was on the field.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: I lose an Xyz Monster and have to wait until the End Phase and get a weaker Number monster with a lower Rank. Literally worse than Xyz Shift!
LVAL-EN071
Release, Reverse, Burst
Normal Trap
Tribute 1 "Utopia" monster; destroy all Set Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Release Restraint Wave is actually better than this since it just asks for an Equip Spell Card on your field to go with your opponent's face down cards and is a Spell Card.
LVAL-EN070
Shared Ride
Quick-Play Spell
After this card resolves, each time your opponent adds a card(s) from their Deck or Graveyard to their hand this turn, except by drawing them, you immediately draw 1 card. You can only activate 1 "Shared Ride" per turn.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: It can help you draw cards needed to stop cards from being added to the hand like Thunder King Rai-Oh but it's only for one turn. It'd be better if it wasn't just for that turn.
LVAL-EN069
Stand-Off
Normal Spell
Target 1 face-up Attack Position Effect Monster on each side of the field; if both monsters are still face-up on the field, negate their effects, then if both their effects were negated by this effect, as long as those monsters are in face-up Attack Position, they cannot be destroyed by battle, are unaffected by other card effects, also they cannot attack or change their battle positions.
SHORT PRINT COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: If you can add other cards into the mix like Mask of Restrict to prevent tributing the other monster, then this isn't bad but this has a fair bit to be met before anything can take hold so I don't see why it's a short-print card.
LVAL-EN068
Xyz Overrride
Field Spell
If an Xyz Monster on the field would activate its effect by detaching its own Xyz Material(s), its controller can banish 1 card from their hand face-down instead of detaching 1 of those Xyz Materials. Each player can only use this effect once per turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: If you can afford to banish a card, you'll get an extra use out of your Xyz Monster but both players can use it and only once per turn.
LVAL-EN067
Onomatopaira
Normal Spell
You can only activate 1 "Onomatopaira" per turn. Send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard; add up to 2 of these monsters from your Deck to your hand (you cannot add 2 from the same category).
● 1 "Zubaba" monster
● 1 "Gagaga" monster
● 1 "Gogogo" monster
● 1 "Dododo" monster
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: You can't pick two from one category but it can help if you run a few of each and therefore can have extra options in your hand.
LVAL-EN066
Hidden Temples of Necrovalley
Continuous Spell
Activate only if both a "Gravekeeper's" monster and "Necrovalley" are on the field. Neither player can Special Summon monsters, except "Gravekeeper's" monsters. If either a "Gravekeeper's" monster or "Necrovalley" is not on the field, destroy this card.
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: While on the field, this card is quite the threat with Necrovalley, that is if in a Gravekeeper's Deck but it can also work against you if you aren't running a Gravekeeper's Deck and your opponent is and all benefits disappear if you lose Necrovalley or control no Gravekeeper's monsters.
LVAL-EN065
Bujinunity
Normal Spell
If you control no other cards and have at least 1 other card in your hand: Shuffle all Beast-Warrior-Type "Bujin" monsters from your Graveyard into the Deck (min. 1), and if you do, send your entire hand to the Graveyard (min. 1), then you can add up to 3 Beast-Warrior-Type "Bujin" monsters with different names from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Bujinunity" per turn.
RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: You have to give up more than what you get to add back so I don't think even Rare is the right rarity for this card, especially since you can only activate one copy per turn.
LVAL-EN064
Ghostrick Museum
Field Spell
Monsters you control, except "Ghostrick" monsters, cannot attack. Monsters cannot attack face-down Defense Position monsters, but can attack directly if all monsters their opponent controls are face-down Defense Position. At the end of the Damage Step, change any monster that inflicted battle damage to a player during this battle to face-down Defense Position.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Although there's a negative side to you if you run this in a non-Ghostrick monster deck, that downside doesn't exist in a Ghostrick deck and even though you may take direct damage, this opens up plays like Battle Fader as well.
LVAL-EN063
Mount Sylvania
Field Spell
You can send 1 Plant-Type monster from your hand or face-up from your side of the field to the Graveyard; choose 1 "Sylvan" card from your Deck and place it on top of the Deck. You can only use this effect of "Mount Sylvania" once per turn. Once per turn, during your opponent's End Phase: You can excavate the top card of your Deck, and if it is a Plant-Type monster, send it to the Graveyard. Otherwise, place it on either the top or bottom of your Deck.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: It helps to create better accuracy for you to trigger your Sylvan monsters' effects and isn't limited to Sylvan Plant-Type monsters with either effect and if you get it wrong with the second effect, you get to choose where it goes.
LVAL-EN062
Luminous Dragon Ritual
Ritual Spell
This card is used to Ritual Summon "Paladin of Photon Dragon". You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels equal exactly 4. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; banish monsters from your Graveyard whose total Levels equal exactly 4, and Special Summon 1 "Paladin of Photon Dragon" from your hand after that. (This Special Summon is treated as a Ritual Summon.)
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It gives you two ways to bring out Paladin of Photon Dragon, which is more than most Ritual Spells give but that second way forces you to banish itself and monsters with Levels totaling exactly 4 and the first also has you Tribute monsters with Levels equal to 4 but nevertheless, it's just as needed for the Ritual Summon as Paladin of Photon Dragon itself.
LVAL-EN061
Xyz Shift
Normal Spell
Tribute 1 Xyz Monster; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 monster with the same Type, Attribute, and Rank as that Tributed monster had on the field, but with a different name, and if you do, attach this card to it as an Xyz Material. During the End Phase, send it to the Graveyard. You can only activate 1 "Xyz Shift" per turn.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Why would I bother to change my Xyz Monster if I was going to lose it and everything attached to it during the End Phase?
LVAL-EN060
Rank-Down-Magic Numeron Fall
Normal Spell
Target 1 "Utopia" monster you control; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Utopia" monster with a lower Rank than that monster you control, by using it as the Xyz Material. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon. Xyz Materials attached to it also become Xyz Materials on the Summoned monster.) The monster Xyz Summoned by this effect gains this effect.
● If this card attacks, or is attacked by an opponent's monster, the opponent's monster's effects are negated during the Battle Phase only.
RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: More like Numeron FAIL as the only decent Utopia monster that exists right now is Roots and it's easier to summon than doing this. Plus for what you've done, all this does is negate the other monster's effects. It doesn't stop your opponent from responding to the attack.
