PGL2-EN021 | |
Santa Claws LIGHT / Fiend / Level 6 / ATK 1200 / DEF 2500 You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) to your opponent's side of the field in Defense Position, by Tributing 1 monster they control. If Summoned this way, during the End Phase of this turn: You can draw 1 card. GOLD SECRET RARE |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Sometimes you get bad gifts on Christmas/Hanukah and this card is only good for your opponent because they get a monster they didn't even have to work for and all you get to do is draw 1 card during the End Phase and your opponent can do whatever they want to with their gift. |
PGL2-EN020 | |
Stardust Re-Spark Normal Trap When an opponent's Special Summoned monster declares a direct attack, if its ATK is greater than or equal to your LP: Negate the attack, and if you do, draw 1 card, then you can Special Summon 1 "Stardust" monster from your Extra Deck or Graveyard. You can only activate 1 "Stardust Re-Spark" per turn. GOLD SECRET RARE |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Pretty situational since it requires a direct attack from an opponent's Special Summoned monster and even then, you negate the attack and draw 1 card. The only saving grace is getting a Stardust monster from your Extra Deck or Graveyard, though Defense Draw works in many more ways and unless that Stardust monster was summoned properly before, it can't come back. |
PGL2-EN019 | |
Parallel Twister Normal Spell Send 1 other Spell/Trap Card you control to the Graveyard, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it. GOLD SECRET RARE |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It doesn't ask for much and then lets you get rid of any threat on the field, plus you can make use of the cost by sending a card that benefits you like Magic Formula. |
PGL2-EN018 | |
Number 21: Frozen Lady Justice WATER / Aqua-Type Xyz / Rank 6 / ATK 500 / DEF 500 2 Level 6 monsters You can also Xyz Summon this card by detaching 1 Xyz Material from a Rank 5 Xyz Monster you control, then using that Xyz Monster as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) This card gains 1000 ATK for each Xyz Material attached to it. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; destroy all Defense Position monsters your opponent controls. GOLD SECRET RARE |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Much like my review of the actual movie Frozen, this card is sub par at best, even if you decide to follow the summoning method in its text but as far as I know, this card isn't hyped up into oblivion and it shouldn't because while it gains 1000 ATK per attached Xyz Material, it loses that amount each time its 2nd effect is used. On top of that, with stats of 500 ATK and DEF and no built-in protection, as its Xyz Materials run out, so does its time on the field. |
PGL2-EN017 | |
Number 14: Greedy Sarameya DARK / Beast-Type Xyz / Rank 5 / ATK 2500 / DEF 1500 2 Level 5 monsters Your opponent takes any effect damage you would have taken from their card effects, instead. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; destroy all monsters on the field whose current ATK is less than or equal to the original ATK of the destroyed monster in the Graveyard. GOLD SECRET RARE |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Effect Damage doesn't appear that often these days and won't have much more now that Ring of Destruction got errata'd and becoming legal again but if you're careful with the 2nd effect, it's not all that bad for the effort it needs to be Xyz Summoned. |
PGL2-EN016 | |
Cat Shark WATER / Beast-Type Xyz / Rank 2 / ATK 500 / DEF 500 2 Level 2 monsters While this card has an Xyz Material attached that was originally WATER, it cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Rank 4 or lower Xyz Monster you control; its ATK and DEF each become double its original ATK and DEF until the end of this turn. GOLD SECRET RARE |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | In order for it to survive, it needs at least WATER Xyz Material and for that, your Rank 4 or lower Xyz Monster gets a temporary boost, which isn't all that bad but not great, much like its stats. |
PGL2-EN015 | |
Number 95: Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon DARK / Dragon-Type Xyz / Rank 9 / ATK 4000 / DEF 0 3 Level 9 monsters You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Galaxy-Eyes" Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) Cannot be used as an Xyz Material for an Xyz Summon. When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can send 3 Dragon-Type monsters with different names from your Deck to the Graveyard; your opponent banishes 3 monsters from their Deck. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this card can make up to 2 attacks on monsters during each Battle Phase this turn. GOLD SECRET RARE |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It's little comfort that I can use a Galaxy-Eyes Xyz Monster to Xyz Summon this card because those cards aren't easy to bring out by themselves. On top of that, this guy can't be used as Xyz Material so no Rank-Up-Magic or otherwise. The other effects aren't that bad but not good enough to offset everything else, including the 0 DEF. |
PGL2-EN014 | |
Dragocytos Corrupted Nethersoul Dragon DARK / Dragon-Type Synchro / Level 10 / ATK 4000 / DEF 2000 1 DARK Tuner + 1 Dragon-Type non-Tuner monster Cannot be destroyed by battle. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can activate this effect; this card can make a second attack on an opponent's monster in a row. During each of your Standby Phases: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes half its current ATK, and if it does, inflict damage to your opponent equal to that lost ATK. GOLD SECRET RARE |
|
Rating: | 4 |
Comments: | Strong on its own and packaged with not only indestructibility in battle, being able to take out up to two monsters in battle per Battle Phase and being able to not only weaken an opponent's monster and deal the ATK loss to your opponent is very nice but what isn't so nice are its Synchro Material requirements. |
PGL2-EN013 | |
Blackwing - Nothung the Starlight DARK / Winged Beast-Type Synchro / Level 6 / ATK 2400 / DEF 1600 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters If this card is Special Summoned: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent, then 1 face-up monster your opponent controls loses 800 ATK and DEF. You can only use this effect of "Blackwing - Nothung the Starlight" once per turn. During your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon 1 "Blackwing" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) GOLD SECRET RARE |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Being able to Normal Summon a Blackwing along with your Normal Summon is the best thing about this card, especially in a Blackwing Deck as dealing minimal burn damage and minimal ATK loss aren't too strong and neither are his stats. |
PGL2-EN012 | |
Blackwing Tamer - Obsidian Hawk Joe DARK / Warrior-Type Synchro / Level 7 / ATK 2600 / DEF 2000 1 "Blackwing" Tuner + 1 or more "Blackwing" non-Tuner monsters You can target 1 Level 5 or higher Winged Beast-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. During either player's turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect that targets only this card, or when your opponent targets this card for an attack: You can target 1 other "Blackwing" monster you control that would be an appropriate target; that card/effect/attack now targets the new target. You can only use each effect of "Blackwing Tamer - Obsidian Hawk Joe" once per turn. GOLD SECRET RARE |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Just about everything it comes with is restrained to Blackwings, which are a good archetype but that also hurts this card's playability because on its own, those stats aren't all that great for its Synchro Materials. |
