DUOV-EN056 Trap Card Mayakashi Mayhem Continuous Trap If a Zombie Synchro Monster(s) is Special Summoned, except from the Extra Deck, even during the Damage Step: You can apply 1 of the following effects. You cannot apply that same effect of "Mayakashi Mayhem" for the rest of this turn. ● Draw 1 card. ● Set 1 "Mayakashi" Spell/Trap directly from your Deck, except "Mayakashi Mayhem". ● Send the 1 monster with the lowest ATK your opponent controls to the GY (your choice, if tied). ● Inflict 800 damage to your opponent. You can only activate the effect of "Mayakashi Mayhem" once per Chain. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 We don't have Card of Safe Return anymore and unless that gets the erratum of death, it's not going to return to Dueling. This card doesn't do any good either as it's specific to Zombie Synchros and each effect is once per turn. Plus you won't get anything if that Synchro is brought out from the Extra Deck. |
DUOV-EN055 Spell Card Hollow Giants Continuous Spell Activate this card only if both players control a monster that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. Negate the effects of face-up monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. If a monster(s) is destroyed by battle involving 2 monsters that were Special Summoned from the Extra Deck: Send this card to the GY, also the player(s) who controlled the destroyed monster(s) takes 1000 damage. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Regardless of what monster you control, you're still risking the damage even though you played it. Pointless as a whole. |
DUOV-EN054 Effect Monster Traptrix Genlisea EARTH / Plant / Level 4 / ATK 1200 / DEF 1600 Unaffected by the effects of "Hole" Normal Traps. You can Tribute this card; Set 2 "Hole" Normal Traps with different names, 1 from your Deck and 1 from your GY, but banish them when they leave the field. You can only use this effect of "Traptrix Genlisea" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 No one would use a "Hole" Normal Trap on this card anyway. It's pointless to get 2 cards that are going to be plain as day for your opponent to counter and anticipate. |
DUOV-EN053 Link Monster Relinquished Anima DARK / Spellcaster-Type Link / ATK 0 / Link-1 Active Link Arrow(s): Top 1 Level 1 monster, except a Token You can target 1 face-up monster this card points to; equip that face-up monster to this card (max. 1). You can only use this effect of "Relinquished Anima" once per turn. This card gains ATK equal to that equipped monster's. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 There's a reason why the original is better. It's because it can take any opponent's monster and requires the same amount of effort. Plus, it can also protect itself from destruction in battle whereas this guy can't do a thing. It also doesn't have any DEF printed on the card and can't be in Defense Mode. |
DUOV-EN052 Spell Card Card of Fate Normal Spell Each player chooses 1 card from their Deck, then each player combines it with 4 additional random cards chosen from their Deck by their opponent, then randomly selects 1 of those 5 cards to reveal and add to their hand. Shuffle the rest back into the Decks. You can only activate 1 "Card of Fate" per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Regardless of what you get, it's more effort than drawing cards and hoping for the best. |
DUOV-EN051 Trap Card Cubic Causality Normal Trap Distribute a number of Cubic Counters on face-up monsters your opponent controls, up to the number of "Cubic" monsters you control. (Monsters with a Cubic Counter cannot attack, also negate their effects.) You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 "Cubic" monster you control; this turn, each time it destroys a monster by battle that has a Cubic Counter, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the original ATK of that destroyed monster. You can only use each effect of "Cubic Causality" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 2 At least they can have the same name but you won't be distributing many counters unless you have a Deck filled with Cubics and that's just not ideal. |
DUOV-EN050 Spell Card Cubic Dharma Continuous Spell You take no battle damage from attacks involving your "Cubic" monsters. You can only use each of the following effects of "Cubic Dharma" once per turn, during your Main Phase: ● You can send 1 "Cubic" card from your hand to the GY, and if you do, draw 1 card. ● You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 "Cubic" monster in your GY; add it to your hand. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Even with Vijam, there's no reason to use this as that card has many more generic cards to support it than this. You're not really missing out on anything by leaving this out of your Deck. |
DUOV-EN049 Spell Card Malefic Territory Continuous Spell When this card is activated: You can activate 1 "Malefic World" from your Deck. While that card is in the Field Zone, neither player can target a card(s) in the Field Zone with card effects. The "Malefic" monster effect, "There can only be 1 face-up "Malefic" monster on the field" becomes "There can only be 1 face-up "Malefic" monster on the field with the same name". During the Battle Phase, negate the effects of face-up "Malefic" monsters on the field. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 What's the point in this card when it doesn't really protect Malefics at all? We already have Field Barrier, which also prevents a Field Spell's destruction too. It's also not specific to Malefic-based cards. |
DUOV-EN048 Effect Monster Malefic Paradox Gear DARK / Machine / Level 1 / ATK 0 / DEF 0 If a face-up Field Spell is on the field: You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Malefic Parallel Gear" from your Deck, then, add 1 "Malefic" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Malefic Paradox Gear". If a "Malefic" monster would banish a monster to Special Summon itself by its own way, you can banish this card you control or in your GY instead. You can only use each effect of "Malefic Paradox Gear" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Its gears are clearly worn down to the point of being useless or were never designed properly in the first place because Malefics can't survive on their own or with this guy. |
DUOV-EN047 Trap Card Cubic Ascension Normal Trap When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Special Summon 1 "Vijam the Cubic Seed" from your Deck, and if you do, change the attack target to it, and perform damage calculation. If your opponent's LP are at least 2000 higher than yours: You can banish this card from your GY; Special Summon 1 "Vijam the Cubic Seed" from your hand, Deck, or GY, then, if only your opponent controlled a monster when this effect was activated, you can Special Summon up to 2 more "Vijam the Cubic Seed". You can only use this effect of "Cubic Ascension" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 3 Thank goodness it supports the only decent Cubic monster of the Archetype by bringing it out from just about anywhere. |
DUOV-EN046 Trap Card Malefic Tune Normal Trap If a face-up "Malefic" monster(s) you control is destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect: Draw 2 cards. If a face-up "Malefic" monster(s) you control is destroyed, while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step): You can banish this card from your GY; add 1 "Malefic" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Malefic Tune" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 No Malefic monster is worth using this with, even for drawing 2 cards since you wasted cards to bring them out, making those 2 cards not free at all. |
DUOV-EN045 Spell Card Malefic Selector Normal Spell Banish 2 "Malefic" cards from your GY; add 2 "Malefic" cards from your Deck to your hand, except "Malefic Selector", with different names from each other and from the banished cards. You can only activate 1 "Malefic Selector" per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Want to try actually winning a Duel? Try Blackwings. |
DUOV-EN044 Spell Card Malefic Divide Quick-Play Spell Target 1 "Malefic" monster in your GY; Special Summon it, ignoring its Summoning conditions, but its effects are negated, also banish it during the End Phase. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Malefics are a garbage Archetype and this only proves my point further. |
DUOV-EN043 Trap Card Graveyard of Wandering Souls Continuous Trap If this card is already face-up on the field: ● If a monster you control is destroyed by battle and sent to the GY: Special Summon 1 "Fireball Token" (Pyro/FIRE/ Level 1/ATK 100/DEF 100). ● If a monster(s) in your hand and/or field is sent to the GY by an opponent's card effect: Special Summon as many "Fireball Tokens" as possible, up to the number of sent monsters. You can only use this effect of "Graveyard of Wandering Souls" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Highly vulnerable and will likely Special Summon less Tokens than you need. Scapegoat and Scapeghost can Special Summon plenty for nothing and are much less vulnerable. |
DUOV-EN042 Trap Card Enma's Judgment Normal Trap When your opponent Special Summons a monster(s): Destroy it, then you can banish 5 Zombie monsters from your GY, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 7 or higher Zombie monster from your hand or Deck. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 If you have to get rid of monsters, use Bottomless Trap Hole or negate the Summon outright. |
DUOV-EN041 Spell Card Synchro Transcend Quick-Play Spell Target 1 Synchro Monster your opponent controls; Special Summon 1 Synchro Monster that is 1 Level higher than it from your Extra Deck, but it cannot activate its effects this turn. You can only activate 1 "Synchro Transcend" per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 The Synchro can't use its effects and you're screwing yourself over during your opponent's turn or yours. Not a smart decision to implement during a Duel. |
DUOV-EN040 Spell Card Rose Bell of Revelation Normal Spell Add 1 Plant monster with 2400 or more ATK from your Deck to your hand. You can banish this card from your GY; Special Summon 1 Plant monster with 2400 or more ATK from your hand. You can only use 1 "Rose Bell of Revelation" effect per turn, and only once that turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 2 While there are some decent Plant-Type monsters to search with this, it's restrained to Plant-Type monsters and not all of them are worth searching with this, or any other card. |
DUOV-EN039 Fusion Monster Phantasm Emperor Trilojig DARK / Fiend-Type Fusion / Level 10 / ATK 4000 / DEF 4000 3 Level 10 monsters If this card is Special Summoned, or if another monster is Special Summoned from the GY to your field while you control this monster: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; inflict damage to your opponent equal to half its original ATK. You can only use this effect of "Phantasm Emperor Trilojig" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Good luck finding 3 useful Level 10s to use as Fusion Material but even then, the best you can deal is half the original ATK of a monster per turn. Plus, we already have monsters with 4000 ATK and DEF that are more for less effort. |
DUOV-EN038 Fusion Monster Dangerous Frightfur Nightmary DARK / Fiend-Type Fusion / Level 10 / ATK 2000 / DEF 3000 1 "Edge Imp" monster + 2 "Fluffal" monsters Gains 300 ATK for each Fairy and Fiend monster in your GY, during your turn only. When this Fusion Summoned card destroys a monster by battle: You can send "Frightfur", "Fluffal", and/or "Edge Imp" monsters from your Deck to the GY, equal to the original Level of that destroyed monster. When your opponent activates a card or effect that targets this card on the field (Quick Effect): You can banish 1 "Frightfur" monster from your Extra Deck; negate that effect. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 The monster in the artwork certainly looks dangerous and nightmarish but the actual card sure isn't. It doesn't keep the gained ATK during all turns it's face-up, which leaves it vulnerable to attacks and with only 2000 ATK, there's plenty of monsters with lower Levels that can take it down. The other effects just aren't enough to make it useful either. |
DUOV-EN037 Pendulum Monster Starving Venemy Lethal Dose Dragon DARK / Dragon, Fusion and Pendulum / Level 8 / ATK 2800 / DEF 2000 / Scale 1 Once per turn, during your Main Phase: You can place 1 Venemy Counter on each face-up monster your opponent controls. All monsters on the field, except DARK Dragon monsters, lose 200 ATK for each Venemy Counter on the field. 3 DARK Pendulum Monsters Each time a card(s) is sent from the field to the GY, place 1 Venemy Counter on this card for each sent card. All monsters on the field, except DARK Dragon monsters, lose 200 ATK for each Venemy Counter on the field. Once per turn, during your Main Phase: You can negate the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent currently controls, until the end of this turn. If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can place this card in your Pendulum Zone. ULTRA RARE Rating: 3 Finally, an evolution that isn't made worse than the original, not to mention a card that doesn't suck because its rating is the higest of the set so far. It's also pretty easy to bring out too and you'll have monsters to reuse later. Unfortunate that it's no stronger than the original, though. |
DUOV-EN000 Pendulum Monster Dark Anthelion Dragon DARK / Dragon, Xyz and Pendulum / Rank 7 / ATK 3000 / DEF 2500 / Scale 10 Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; halve its original ATK until the end of this turn (even if this card leaves the field). 2 Level 7 monsters If you can Pendulum Summon Level 7, you can Pendulum Summon this face-up card in your Extra Deck. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; until the end of this turn, its ATK becomes half its current ATK, and if it does, this card gains that lost ATK. If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can place this card in your Pendulum Zone. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 This card is like a package you get that is bigger than what's inside it. You end up with a bunch of extra fluff and paying extra money for an item that is likely less than half that size. The card fits this description well because nothing it has to offer is useful apart from its Pendulum Scale, which is mitigated by how it is Summoned and its effects. |
DUOV-EN035 Pendulum Monster Speedroid Hexasaucer WIND / Machine-Type Penduum / Level 4 / ATK 100 / DEF 1600 / Scale 6 You can target 1 of your WIND Synchro Monsters that is banished or in your GY; return it to the Extra Deck. You can only use this effect of "Speedroid Hexasaucer" once per turn. Both players take any battle damage from attacks involving this card. Any battle damage from battles involving this card is halved. If this card is destroyed in the Pendulum Zone: You can Special Summon 1 face-up "Speedroid" Pendulum Monster from your Extra Deck. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 If sane people have learned anything about UFOs, it's that they never turn out to be a cool as they appear to be. This guy isn't even cool-looking to start with. |
DUOV-EN034 Pendulum Monster Speedroid Marble Machine WIND / Machine-Type Pendulum / Level 2 / ATK 200 / DEF 100 / Scale 1 Once per turn, when your Defense Position monster is targeted for an attack: You can change it to face-up Attack Position, also it cannot be destroyed by battle this turn (even if this card leaves the field). When this card is Normal Summoned: You can activate this effect; add 1 "Speedroid" monster from your Deck to your hand, also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except WIND monsters. You can only use this effect of "Speedroid Marble Machine" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 2 They may be speedy but they don't have a chance in the Dueling world because of their poor effects and/or stats. It's pretty clear Konami has lost many or all of their marbles over the years with the cards they've made. The only redeeming thing about this card is its Pendulum Scale, which is almost as low as you can go in this game. |
DUOV-EN033 Link Monster Ojama Emperor LIGHT / Beast-Type Link / ATK 0 / Link-3 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom, Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 3 Beast monsters, including an "Ojama" monster While "Ojama Country" is in a Field Zone, this card gains 3000 ATK, also it cannot be destroyed by card effects. Your opponent takes any battle damage you would have taken from attacks on this card, instead. You can target 1 non-Link "Ojama" monster in your GY; Special Summon it, also for the rest of this turn, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Fusion Monsters. You can only use this effect of "Ojama Emperor" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 2 Perhaps one of the better Ojama monsters as all the others are pretty bad. Still, it requires a mediocre Field Spell to be in play to give it 3000 ATK and requires 3 Beasts, including an Ojama. |
DUOV-EN032 Link Monster Ferocious Flame Swordsman FIRE / Warrior-Type Link / ATK 1300 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Left and Bottom-Left 2 monsters with different names All Warrior monsters on the field gain 500 ATK. If this Link Summoned card is destroyed by battle, or by an opponent's card effect while in its owner's Monster Zone: You can target 1 non-Link Warrior monster in your GY; Special Summon it, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use this effect of "Ferocious Flame Swordsman" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 No point in bringing out a monster weaker than most monsters in the game just to revive another monster from the Grave when destroyed. It's even weaker than the original and its regular Effect counterpart. |
DUOV-EN031 Trap Card Kingyo Sukui Continuous Trap You can target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; excavate the top card of your Deck, and if it is a monster with the same Attribute as the target, add it to your hand, and if you do, shuffle the target into the Deck. Otherwise, send the excavated card to the GY, also destroy this card. You can only use this effect of "Kingyo Sukui" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Continuous or not, there's no way you'll get lucky often enough to make this useful. |
DUOV-EN030 Spell Card Awakening of the Possessed Continuous Spell Monsters you control gain 300 ATK for each different Attribute you control. "Charmer" and "Familiar-Possessed" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by card effects. If a Spellcaster monster(s) with 1850 original ATK is Normal or Special Summoned to your field: Draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Awakening of the Possessed" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 It benefits monsters I consider decent but it's not good enough to use with them. |
DUOV-EN029 Link Monster Armillyre, the Starleader Dragon DARK / Dragon-Type Link / ATK 1400 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2 Effect Monsters Cannot be used as Link Material. You can target 1 face-up monster this card points to; Special Summon 1 monster with the same original Level from your hand to your zone this card points to, in Defense Position, but negate its effects. You can only use this effect of "Armillyre, the Starleader Dragon" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Not only can't it not be Link Material but the monster you bring out is automatically in a more vulnerable position than your opponent's. Thus, this is wasted effort as a whole. |
DUOV-EN028 Effect Monster Firebrand Hymnist FIRE / Pyro / Level 3 / ATK 800 / DEF 200 When this card is Normal Summoned: You can send cards from the top of your opponent's Deck to the GY, equal to the number of cards they control. If this card is Special Summoned: You can send cards from the top of your Deck to the GY, equal to the number of cards your opponent controls. You can only use this effect of "Firebrand Hymnist" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 So both effects are only helpful to specific Decks and it only has 800 ATK and 200 DEF? Worthless. |
DUOV-EN027 Effect Monster Angraecum Umbrella WATER / Spellcaster-Type Tuner / Level 3 / ATK 500 / DEF 1500 When this card is Normal Summoned: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 Level 4 or lower monster in your GY; Special Summon it in Defense Position, but negate its effects, also for the rest of this turn, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Synchro Monsters. ULTRA RARE Rating: 2 Or just use cards that revive monsters from the Grave for free like Monster Reborn. At least it's also a Tuner. |
DUOV-EN026 Link Monster Tenyi Spirit - Sahasrara LIGHT / Wyrm-Type Link / ATK 3000 / Link-4 Active Link Arrow(s): Top, Bottom, Top-Right Bottom-Right 2+ Wyrm monsters While you control a face-up non-Effect Monster, monsters your opponent controls cannot target Effect Monsters for attacks, also your opponent cannot target Effect Monsters on the field with card effects. (Quick Effect): You can target 1 Effect Monster your opponent controls; Special Summon 1 "Tenyi Spirit Token" (Wyrm/LIGHT/Level 4/ATK ?/DEF 0). This Token's ATK becomes that targeted monster's original ATK. You can only use this effect of "Tenyi Spirit - Sahasrara" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 It requires Wyrm monsters specifically and I know those are pretty underwhelming at best. Plus, it's a Link-4 monster so that generally means 4 of them are needed, or you can waste other monsters instead. The effects don't justify using it at all. |
DUOV-EN025 Link Monster Yuki-Onna, the Absolute Zero Mayakashi WATER / Zombie-Type Link / ATK 2900 / Link-4 Active Link Arrow(s): Left, Right, Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2+ Zombie monsters You can only control 1 "Yuki-Onna, the Absolute Zero Mayakashi". Negate any activated effects of your opponent's banished monsters. If a monster is Special Summoned from the GY, or a monster effect is activated in the GY (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 other face-up monster on the field; change its ATK to 0, and if you do, negate its effects. You can use this effect of "Yuki-Onna, the Absolute Zero Mayakashi" up to twice per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 So it doesn't even negate the effect that triggered its own effect in the first place? What's the point then? Plus, being a Link-4 monster, it's more effort to get the effect than Reptilianne Medusa, which can also use its effect multiple times per turn. |
DUOV-EN024 Link Monster Sky Striker Ace - Zeke DARK / Machine-Type Link / ATK 1500 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Top and Bottom 2 monsters, including a "Sky Striker Ace" monster Must be Link Summoned. You can only Special Summon "Sky Striker Ace - Zeke(s)" once per turn. If this card is Link Summoned: You can target 1 face-up monster on the field; banish it until your opponent's next End Phase. Once per turn: You can target 1 other card you control; this card gains 1000 ATK, then, send the targeted card to the GY. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Their aces continue to show that they are not airworthy and should be grounded indefinitely. |
DUOV-EN023 Link Monster Lib the World Key Blademaster LIGHT / Cyberse-Type Link / ATK 2000 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Left and Bottom-Left 2 monsters Can only be Link Summoned while you have a "World Legacy" card in your GY. You can only use each of the following effects of "Lib the World Key Blademaster" once per turn. ● During your Main Phase: You can Set 1 "World Legacy" Spell/Trap directly from your Deck, but it cannot be activated this turn while you have no "World Legacy" monster in your GY. ● If this Link Summoned card is sent to the GY as Link Material: You can shuffle 1 card on the field into the Deck. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 What's with all the restraints? I already wasted 2 monsters to bring this out so I should have as few restraints as possible. Instead, this one has a restraint everywhere you look except the last effect, which sucks anyway. |
DUOV-EN022 Link Monster Abyss Actor - Hyper Director DARK / Fiend-Type Link / ATK 800 / Link-1 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom 1 "Abyss Actor" Pendulum Monster You can target 1 card in your Pendulum Zone; Special Summon it, then place 1 "Abyss Actor" Pendulum Monster with a different name, from your Deck or face-up Extra Deck, to your Pendulum Zone, also you cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except "Abyss Actor" monsters. You can only use this effect of "Abyss Actor - Hyper Director" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 We already have a Trap Card to bring out Pendulum Monsters from the Pendulum Zone and it doesn't cost you a single monster. |
DUOV-EN021 Link Monster Predaplant Verte Anaconda DARK / Plant-Type Link / ATK 500 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2 Effect Monsters You can target 1 face-up monster on the field; it becomes DARK until the end of this turn. You can pay 2000 LP and send 1 "Fusion" or "Polymerization" Normal or Quick-Play Spell from your Deck to the GY; this effect becomes that Spell's effect when that card is activated, also, you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn. You can only use each effect of "Predaplant Verte Anaconda" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 There's no point in copying an effect if you can't use the effect that turn. Plus, it costs 2000 LP when most Fusion cards are searchable already. The 500 ATK makes things even worse. |
DUOV-EN020 Link Monster Bloom Harmonist the Melodious Composer LIGHT / Fairy-Type Link / ATK 1000 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2 Fairy monsters If this card is Link Summoned: You can discard 1 card; Special Summon 2 "Melodious" monsters with different Levels from your Deck to your zones this card points to, in Defense Position. You cannot Special Summon monsters the turn you activate this effect, except "Melodious" monsters. You can only use this effect of "Bloom Harmonist the Melodious Composer" once per turn. If a "Melodious" monster this card points to attacks, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step. ULTRA RARE Rating: 2 Unfortunate that the 1st effect is a 1-time deal because otherwise, it'd make this card more viable. Still, that 1000 ATK isn't going to help you much anyway and neither is the 2nd effect. |
DUOV-EN019 Link Monster Artifact Dagda LIGHT / Fairy-Type Link / ATK 1500 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2 monsters with different names When an effect of another card on the field is activated (Quick Effect): You can Set 1 "Artifact" monster from your hand or Deck to your Spell & Trap Zone as a Spell, but destroy it during your opponent's next End Phase. During your opponent's turn, if this Link Summoned card is destroyed: You can Special Summon 1 "Artifact" monster from your GY in Defense Position. You can only use each effect of "Artifact Dagda" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Unlike real life where some artifacts can be quite useful, Artifacts as cards have proven to be failures all the way through. |
DUOV-EN018 Link Monster Bujinki Ahashima LIGHT / Beast-Warrior-Type Link / ATK 1500 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Top and Bottom-Right 2 monsters with the same Level Cannot be used as Link Material. You can only use each of the following effects of "Bujinki Ahashima" once per turn. ● If this card is Link Summoned: You can Special Summon 2 monsters with the same Level, 1 from your hand and 1 from your GY, but negate their effects, and immediately after this effect resolves, Xyz Summon 1 Xyz Monster using those 2 monsters only. ● If an Xyz Monster this card points to activates an effect by detaching material(s) (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 Spell/Trap your opponent controls; destroy it. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 So by wasting 2 monsters to bring this guy out, it can't be used for anything except a Tribute or Special Summon outside of the Extra Deck. Neither effect is all that good either. |
DUOV-EN017 Link Monster Mecha Phantom Beast Auroradon WIND / Machine-Type Link / ATK 2100 / Link-3 Active Link Arrow(s): Left, Bottom and Bottom-Right 2+ Machine monsters If this card is Link Summoned: You can activate this effect; Special Summon 3 "Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens" (Machine/WIND/Level 3/ATK 0/DEF 0), also you cannot Link Summon for the rest of this turn. Once per turn: You can Tribute up to 3 monsters, then apply 1 of these effects, based on the number Tributed; ● 1: Destroy 1 card on the field. ● 2: Special Summon 1 "Mecha Phantom Beast" monster from your Deck. ● 3: Add 1 Trap from your GY to your hand. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Just goes to show that you can't always update ancient technology and make it better. This card and all its friends are based on ancient tech and none of them have aged well. |
DUOV-EN016 Link Monster Reptilianne Echidna DARK / Reptile-Type Link / ATK 200 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Left and Bottom-Right 2 monsters, including a Reptile monster If this card is Link Summoned: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; change its ATK to 0. During your Main Phase, if your opponent controls a monster(s) with 0 ATK: You can add Reptile monsters with different names from your Deck to your hand, up to the number of monsters your opponent controls with 0 ATK, also, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Reptile monsters. You can only use each effect of "Reptilianne Echidna" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Reptilianne Medusa can make them have multiple monsters with 0 ATK for 1 card in your hand each. Plus it not only takes less effort to bring out but also has 20 times more ATK. |
DUOV-EN015 Link Monster Crossrose Dragon DARK / Dragon-Type Link / ATK 800 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Left and Bottom 2 monsters with different Types During the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card and 1 Plant monster; Special Summon 1 "Rose" Synchro Monster or 1 Plant Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck. (This is treated as a Synchro Summon.) If a monster(s) you control is destroyed by card effect, while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step): You can banish this card; Special Summon 1 "Rose Dragon" monster from your GY. You can only use each effect of "Crossrose Dragon" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 It's bad enough that it costs you 4 monsters, two to use the effect and two to Link Summon this card but it only brings out specific Synchros from your Extra Deck and members in both those categories are pretty bad. |
DUOV-EN014 Link Monster Selene, Queen of the Master Magicians LIGHT / Spellcaster-Type Link / ATK 1850 / Link-3 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom, Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2+ monsters, including a Spellcaster monster If this card is Link Summoned: Place Spell Counters on this card, equal to the number of Spells on the field and in the GYs. While an "Endymion" card(s) is on the field, your opponent's monsters cannot target this card for attacks. Once per turn, during the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can remove 3 Spell Counters from your field; Special Summon 1 Spellcaster monster from your hand or GY in Defense Position, to your zone this card points to. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Spellcasters have better ways to use Spell Counters or bring out monsters than to waste either of those to bring this card out and they all generally have higher ATK and better effects for their efforts. |
DUOV-EN013 Link Monster Xtra HERO Infernal Devicer DARK / Fiend-Type Link / ATK 1700 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom and Bottom-Left 2 "HERO" monsters If this card is Link Summoned: You can reveal 1 "HERO" Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck, and if you do, add up to 2 of the Fusion Materials listed on that card, with different names, from your Deck to your hand. You cannot Special Summon monsters the turn you activate this effect, except "HERO" monsters. You can only use this effect of "Xtra HERO Infernal Devicer" once per turn. Fiend monsters this card points to gain ATK/DEF equal to its Level x 100. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Not only are you revealing much of your strategy but this guy doesn't have the ATK power to keep things going very long once your strategy is foiled, or even if your strategy is still intact. |
DUOV-EN012 Link Monster Simorgh, Bird of Sovereignty WIND / Winged Beast-Type Link / ATK 2400 / Link-3 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom, Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2+ monsters, including a Winged Beast monster Cannot be used as Link Material. Your opponent cannot target this card or a Winged Beast monster(s) this card points to with card effects. If this card would be destroyed by battle, you can destroy 1 other "Simorgh" card you control instead. During the End Phase: You can Special Summon 1 Winged Beast monster from your hand or Deck, with a Level equal to or lower than the total number of unused Spell & Trap Zones on the field. You can only use this effect of "Simorgh, Bird of Sovereignty" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Simorgh continues to show that being corrupted is the only way to get better because outside of Dark Simorgh, all members suck. |
DUOV-EN011 Link Monster Herald of Mirage Lights LIGHT / Fairy-Type Link / ATK 600 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2 monsters with the same Type and Attribute, except Tokens When a Spell/Trap Card or effect is activated (Quick Effect): You can send 1 Fairy monster from your hand to the GY; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. If this card in your possession is sent to your GY by an opponent's card: You can add up to 2 Ritual Monsters and/or Ritual Spells with different names from your GY to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Herald of Mirage Lights" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 I wish it truly was a mirage because I can find those same effects or better with cards in the same family and for less work. |
DUOV-EN010 Link Monster Ancient Gear Ballista EARTH / Machine-Type Link / ATK 1500 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Right and Bottom-Left 2 EARTH Machine monsters If this card is Link Summoned: You can add 1 "Ancient Gear" monster or 1 "Geartown" from your Deck to your hand. You can target 1 Spell/Trap you control and 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; destroy that card you control, and if you do, change that opponent's monster's ATK/DEF to 0 until the end of the turn. You can only use each effect of "Ancient Gear Ballista" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Both effects can be achieved for much less effort and are better supported than this. |
DUOV-EN009 Link Monster Union Carrier LIGHT / Machine-Type Link / ATK 1000 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Right and Bottom 2 monsters with the same Type or Attribute Cannot be used as Link Material the turn it is Link Summoned. You can target 1 face-up monster you control; equip 1 monster to it from your hand or Deck with its same original Type or Attribute. The equipped monster gains 1000 ATK. If you equipped it from the Deck, you cannot Special Summon monsters with that Equip Card's name for the rest of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Union Carrier" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 That's a heck of a machine in the artwork but it does so little that it makes me question the entire point of its creation. |
DUOV-EN008 Link Monster Protector Whelp of the Destruction Swordsman LIGHT / Dragon-Type Link / ATK 400 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2 monsters If this card is Link Summoned: You can send 1 "Destruction Sword" card from your Deck to the GY, then, you can Special Summon 1 "Buster Blader" monster from your hand. At the end of your Battle Phase, if your opponent controls no monsters: You can target 1 "Buster Blader" monster you control that did not declare an attack this turn; inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's ATK. You can only use each effect of "Protector Whelp of the Destruction Swordsman" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 With only 400 ATK and having such specific needs to get any use with, it needs help more than anything. |
DUOV-EN007 Link Monster Five-Headed Link Dragon DARK / Dragon-Type Link / ATK 5000 / Link-5 Active Link Arrows(s): Left, Right, Bottom, Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 5 monsters Must be Link Summoned. If this card is Link Summoned using DARK, EARTH, WATER, FIRE, and WIND Attributes: You can destroy all cards your opponent controls. Cannot be destroyed by battle with a DARK, EARTH, WATER, FIRE, or WIND monster. Unaffected by other cards' effects. Once per turn, during your opponent's End Phase: You must banish 5 cards from your GY face-down (this is not optional), or send this card to the GY. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 The original is much more worthwhile because while this card is protected by more effects, it has a cost to stay on the field and you won't likely be keeping out very long. |
DUOV-EN006 Link Monster Condemned Darklord DARK / Fairy-Type Link / ATK 1600 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2 Fairy monsters You can Tribute Summon Fairy monsters that require 2 Tributes by banishing 2 monsters from your GY instead of Tributing (it is still treated as a Tribute Summon). You can discard 1 card; take 1 "Darklord" monster from your Deck, and either add it to your hand or send it to the GY. You can only use this effect of "Condemned Darklord" once per turn. Once per turn, during your End Phase: Gain 500 LP for each Fairy monster on the field. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Here's a better idea: Bypass the need for Tributes with Hall of Valhalla and just Special Summon the Fairy outright. You also won't be restrained to Darklords. |
DUOV-EN005 Link Monster Raidraptor - Wise Strix DARK / Winged Beast-Type Link / ATK 1400 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2 DARK Winged Beast monsters If this card is Link Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 DARK Winged Beast monster from your Deck in Defense Position, but negate its effects, also it cannot be used as Link Material. If your "Raidraptor" Xyz Monster's effect is activated: Set 1 "Rank-Up-Magic" Spell directly from your Deck, and if it is a Quick-Play Spell, it can be activated this turn. You can only use each effect of "Raidraptor - Wise Strix" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 It would be wise not to even bother Link Summoning this card as your benefits are so minimal you could write them off as non-existent. |
DUOV-EN004 Link Monster D/D/D Abyss King Gilgamesh DARK / Fiend-Type Link / ATK 1800 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2 "D/D" monsters If this card is Special Summoned: You can activate this effect; you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except "D/D" monsters, also place 2 "D/D" Pendulum Monsters with different names from your Deck in your Pendulum Zones, and if you do, take 1000 damage. If this Link Summoned card is destroyed by battle with an opponent's attacking monster, or by an opponent's card effect while in its owner's Monster Zone: You can Special Summon 1 "D/D" monster from your Extra Deck or GY in Defense Position. You can only use each effect of "D/D/D Abyss King Gilgamesh" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 In most schools, D's are just barely passing but in college, it's a failure and this guy is certainly a failure in my eyes. |
DUOV-EN003 Link Monster Alien Shocktrooper M-Frame LIGHT / Reptile-Type Link / ATK 1900 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2 Reptile monsters (Quick Effect): You can discard 1 monster; place A-Counters equal to its original Level on face-up monster(s) on the field, distributed as you wish. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the GY: You can Special Summon non-Link Reptile monsters with different names from your GY, up to the number of monsters your opponent controls with A-Counters. You can only use each effect of "Alien Shocktrooper M-Frame" once per turn ULTRA RARE Rating: 2 Any 2 Reptile-Type monsters will work and the higher the Level, the more A-Counters you can put on monster(s) your opponent controls but it's no stronger than the original Shocktrooper and can only revive monsters from the Grave with different names. |
DUOV-EN002 Link Monster Celestial Knightlord Parshath LIGHT / Fairy-Type Link / ATK 2400 / Link-3 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom, Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2+ Fairy monsters You can discard 1 card; add 1 "The Sanctuary in the Sky", or 1 card that specifically lists "The Sanctuary in the Sky" in its text, from your Deck to your hand, or, if "The Sanctuary in the Sky" is on the field, you can add 1 Fairy monster instead. If another face-up Fairy monster you control is sent to the GY (except during the Damage Step): You can banish 1 Fairy monster from your GY; Special Summon 1 Fairy monster from your hand whose Level is higher than that banished monster's. You can only use each effect of "Celestial Knightlord Parshath" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 1 Wasted effort for effects that are better off done elsewhere. |
DUOV-EN001 Link Monster Crystron Halqifibrax WATER / Machine-Type Link / ATK 1500 / Link-2 Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right 2 monsters, including a Tuner If this card is Link Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower Tuner from your hand or Deck in Defense Position, but it cannot activate its effects this turn. During your opponent's Main Phase or Battle Phase (Quick Effect): You can banish this card you control; Special Summon 1 Tuner Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck. (This is treated as a Synchro Summon.) You can only use each effect of "Crystron Halqifibrax" once per turn. ULTRA RARE Rating: 2 A late arrival from the Crystron family but it's not much of a contribution. |
