Episode 103: Party Crashers

In the stands, Luna wonders if that's it but Jack shows them the scoreboard that says it all. Yusei has won and the crowd is going wild. Jean goes on a bit of a guilt trip but Andre and Breo convince him that losing in this manner was better than winning by a technicality. The groups agree to meet in the finals by winning their later duels and go their separate ways. That night, Team 5Ds celebrates before Leo brings up how Jack wasn't at his best and this starts an argument with Crow before the waitress from the coffee shop attempts to break things up. However, Carly isn't happy to see her and neither of them are happy to see Mina but all three have excuses for being there.

Nevertheless, Sherry appears, questioning their early celebration as she'd beaten her three opponents by herself.
Furthermore, she's found a connection between the Duel Bot named Ghost and Illyaster but nothing solid. Yusei explains all he knows (and they're using "Meklord" to describe them, the same name as the Monster Cards in the CG). Luna, Leo and Jack recall their duels where real damage was dealt and being surrounded by an infinity symbol. Next, they bring up where Lazar had stolen their engine program and led them to a massive factory but Mina has no idea where Lazar is nowadays and mentions that not only was Goodwin replaced by three directors, no one except Lazar has met them. She agrees to meet with the directors and pass on what she finds and heads out. Carly and the coffee waitress head out as well, thanking the others for the party.

Heading out, Sherry hopes she and Yusei don't meet before encountering Illyaster or she'll have to beat him. Bruno isn't feeling so well and goes out to get some air. On the road, Sherry questions whether Yusei even knows whom he is and whether the floating thing they saw is related. Back outside, Yusei knows that if what Sherry said is true, he'll have to master the Synchro Solution and recalls his first encounter with Visor, their duel and aftermath. Elsewhere, Bruno struggles to recall whom he is but a cat breaks his concentration and ends up scaring it off. The next morning, after Yusei finishes tweaking with Jack's Duel Runner, they race off to watch Team Unicorn face Team Catastrophe. However, when they arrive, they're too late as Team Catastrophe has won and left Andre and Jean in seriously bad shape. Yusei finds them on the ground below. They seem to live up to their name!
